Went in for an after work bevie and snacks. Sat at the bar and couldn't resist fresh oysters so started there....admittedly, you can't really go wrong with fresh oysters...as long as they are fresh! And, they were. Had kushis and effinghams, my fav's loved the fresh horse radish and mignonette. I saw the bartender pouring the most delicious ceasar, so decided to order one. I think it was about $9.....sadly, it was underwhelming. Tasted like a basic caesar....nothing special. They didn't even use any of the wonderful fresh horseradish that they had readily available. It did come with a monster prawn garnish though....I guess that's what I paid for. I guess I just expected more in the flavour of the drink. Anyways....after oysters, we decided to try a couple of desserts. We had the cheesecake lolipops (fun and delicious) and the banana pudding (one of the most yummiest deserts I have ever had). The service was great! The room was nice and I would happily return...to enjoy a wine off their well put together wine list.....sans caesar.

Loved the room and decor! It has a funky appeal, long narrow and not too big. Went with a friend and had a couple cocktails and one of each of the appies. (There are only 5) They infuse their water with cinamon sticks, which at first glance seemed pretty neat, however didn't work for me. Their cocktails are really good. Would like to see more wine on their list. Had to wonder why our food took so long with only 5 items on the menu and ten other paeople there, but when it arrived, it was solid. My favorite was the pot stickers. Now I understand that they are a "bar" and I haven't been there to check out the late night scene yet, but I do wish they had a bit more variety on their food menu if they are going to offer it. Would return again if they did. All in all, I wouldn't avoid it, but wouldn't go out of my way to go back.

Great spot for breaky on the weekends! Was introduced to NICE by friends a few months ago, and it has now become one of my favorite spots. the food....basic, homemade but delish! Great sized servings and tasty. I have had the french toast, beef dip and omelet. All good. The service is a bit touch and go, but definately adequate for what you'd expect in a diner style restaurant. Even though every time there is a line up when I go in, the servers are great for not making you feel rushed. And cheap? yes it is! Four of us, breakfast, coffee only 32 bucks! Oh, and while your in line, check out the boutique clothing store next door....can't remember the name, but the have some great stuff! Will definately return again for multiple visits.
