I've eaten here many times and will return again. The food is very good, reminds me of places I've been in California by the ocean. Very good seafood and in the summer, the patio is the place to be. It's so nice to look out at the marina and boats. It's unfortunate that the location is in an area of warehouses which takes away a bit from the ambiance of the area. Now, here's the deal, you have to get there early or you will have to wait an incredible amount of time to be seated and for your food. The service has not always been prompt and often I have had to chase down my server. That part is annoying.
I took a kayaking lesson at Deep Cove and part of the package was lunch from Honey's. The bread is so fresh and the sandwich, so large. I had a turkey sandwich and a doughnut and I was stuffed! Those big yummy doughnuts are the size of a car tire and are total indulgence. They are bit oily but hey, doughnuts are cooked in oil. It's a very casual little place, you can sit outside in the summer or take the food to go and walk down to the park across the street and look at the ocean. Just great.
I really like the ambiance of this restuarant, However, I will not eat there again! On the last two times I ate there, the food I ordered was cold. I figured it would not happen again, so I went back another time and yet again, the food was luke warm. It is unsafe to not have food cooked all the way through. Yikes! That was a few years ago that I was there, maybe there is a new chef now that cooks the food properly?
I've tried many sushi places on the North Shore and this is THE BEST by far. The prices are cheaper than most, their sushi has great flavour and texture. It is your basic little restuarant with maybe 4 or 5 tables, not meant to be fine dining. The owner is always chearful and chipper. You gotta go!
We ate at the FatBurger in North Vancouver on a Saturday night. In all, it was really good. It was 5:30 and not busy yet. Cute and clean diner style decor, fun music from the 70's and 80's, the servers were prompt and courteous, the burgers were just as they said, juicey and generously garnished with lettuce and tomato. The fries were your basic fry but they were not greasey. Two adults and one child cost just under $30.00 including drinks and one dessert. I liked it because it was a small resturant, unlike the big White Spot or Red Robin where it is noisy and busy. I will definately go back! Yummmm!
