so-so experience-watch out for the salty salmon skin!
Submitted Monday, August 4, 2008 - 12:27am [Dine in]
Tonight, I ordered the grilled salmon with lemon and the skin was extremely salty. When I mentioned this to the waiter, he informed that this is the way they come and that the chef doesn't add anything to it. I am not sure if I totally believe that. Also, I ordered the apple gallette (which I've had before numerous times and is rather good although the pastry seems a little underdone) without the caramel sauce and it arrived with the sauce anyway. When I wanted to send it back, the waiter again tried to convince me that it was baked this way when the sauce was clearly added.
Each time I go there, the service is always slow-have to wait to get more water, the bill etc. but the ambiance is not bad and there is a lot of space if you have a bigger group. Just be careful about booking a large banquette because they squish 10 people in it and the people in the middle get trapped all night.

scoops are small, expensive, and of inconsistent sizes

I was there on July 22, 2008 and was surprised that prices have gone up and that the scoops have gotten smaller. In addition, 1 of the 2 servers was giving noticeably smaller scoops than then other. When I complained about the inconsistency, they told me that sorbets are just smaller-which I confirmed later on with the manager that this explanation was totally FALSE. The cashier was also really unfriendly. Given that I paid $3.50 for a basic scoop that was undersized (and nobody bothered to rectify the situation), I will not return.
