Good service
Submitted Monday, March 16, 2009 - 4:59pm [Dine in]

I really liked their serves after couple visits there. They're always polite and efficient, honestly, you just can't go wrong with their service. I really liked their sandwiches, I think they used less added flavour in this specific store in richmond yet it still tastes as delicious as all other boston pizzas. Moreover, their pizzas are the best best, (according to my brother since I've only tried pasta and sandwiches here.) Also, i was told not to design your own pizza if you don't actually know what you're doing, let the chef do his job! We all know how decent their chefs are, and I do not understand why some people designed their own pizzas and expected them to be better than the ones by the chef. If you go with a friend you might also want to share an appetizer, I've tried the calamari and it wasn't bad at all!

They are quite different from other bbt places in the sense that they came up with their own recipes for bbt. A friend brought me there a couple weeks ago and he ordered a bbt that i've never heard of !
I dunno if i remembered wrong but it was something with oreo, and it was awesome! I ordered a regular milktea with pearls and soon after that I went for a 2nd round because I really wanted to try those bbt that i've never even heard of. Service was pretty good too, not a big place so they only had one person in the store. Haven't had a chance to try their food yet.

Chubby Lamb Hot Pot Restaurant8391 Alexandra Road, #2160, Richmond
I love it
Submitted Monday, March 16, 2009 - 3:55pm [Dine in]

I have been to at least 5 other ayce hot pot places, and nothing beats the chubby lamb! Some other places charge extra for drinks and sauces, but at this place, everything's included. Although they're called "chubby lamb," their beef is alot better than their lamb, no doubt about that. Also, unlike some other places, chubby lamb always serves the right amount! They don't discriminate those who eat too much, and they even asked us to order more while reminding us it's all u can eat.(well, of course we knew.) This place is considered "very clean" for a hotpot restuarant. So if you really wanna try ayce hotpot, you can't really find one better than this one in Richmond, or even vancouver and burnaby. Recommended!

not THAT bad
Submitted Monday, March 16, 2009 - 12:41pm [Dine in]

although there are many negative reviews out there, I still wanna state that this restaurant isn't "that" bad. Yes, their serves did take the wrong orders, but why would it matter if they were willing to accept the fact that they made a mistake, and brought back the right order a couple minutes later. Overall I think their food was decent, well, not as good as the regular sushi restaurants in richmond but we're only paying $12 for it. In fact, I liked the way they served beef teriyaki on a hot iron plate, keeping the beef hot. Overall their attitudes are good, even to those who took longer to finish their food. I also like the way they arrange their seats, unlike some other ayce places, you don't have to sit like 30cm away from a stranger from the table next to you.

Decent Value

If you ever want to visit this place, go for their combos on the first page of the menu. Not sayig that other plates are bad, but their combos come with great values. A regular plate would be around $7, with drinks. (Their milkteas/iceteas are ok). As for combos, you get to choose 1-3 items for maincourse, ranging from $7-$9, which also comes with soups and drinks. (their creamsoup is alot better than the other whatever soup.)
However, this place gets really crowded after 1pm, so if you really want to make a visit, go a little early at like 12 or something.

No. 9 Restaurant5300 No. 3 Road, #812, Richmond
Only good for late nights
Submitted Saturday, March 7, 2009 - 9:28am [Dine in]

I do not recommend going to No.9 during the day, since there are so many better restaurants a block away on alexandra road. They have really big plates, so most people either share or they end up taking out the leftovers. They are usually super busy, and that explains why they offer pretty much the worst service ever. A friend of mine told me that a waiter was demanding for more tips from a table ! I mean .. "demanding for tips?" Then of course, those customers asked to speak to the manager.
Overall their food wasn't bad, but as for service, there is definitely room for improvement. Not mentioning how the waitress mixed up our order last time at 3am in the morning, and that wasn't funny at all cuz our table waited way too long for them to figure things out.

Flo Tea Room7994 Granville Street, Vancouver
Ok food, but go to BubbleTea World for BBT
Submitted Saturday, March 7, 2009 - 12:37am [Dine in]

I actually liked their food, althought their price is a little above average tea house. I dont know if its personal preference but I think that their chef makes his rice alot better than noodles. Food comes pretty fast, but since this place normally gets quite busy at night, it'll be a good idea to order as quickly as possible. By the way it closes at 2am in the morninig.
Now, no offence to this restaurant, but seriously, if you want to get BBT, go next door to bubble tea world. BBT world is arguably one of the top BBT place in Vancouver/Richmond, not mentioning how cheap their drinks are. So just finish your meal at flo, then get your BBT next door at bubble tea world. P.S. The only "must not" get BBTs are greenapple and strawberry milk tea, they make them taste kinda weird ... but most of them are reallyy good !

Not known for their food
Submitted Saturday, March 7, 2009 - 12:21am [Dine in]

Yes, my title tells everything, that gogotea has never been known for its food. Wondering why they're always packed? well, especially at night? The manager of this restaurant makes his waitresses wear cosplay costumes, so basically, many men go there just for the sake of visual satisfaction. Althoguh they have decent looking menus, with a variety of choices, plates under the same category basically taste the same!
However, I gotta give them some credits for their BBT. I would rate their BBT at around 8 out of 10, whereas their food quality only deserves a 5 to 6. I have friends who work at this place, and they revealed that it is common for them to bring emotion to work. So honestly, customers cannot expect their service to be good, or even average ... when their employers are allowed to show attitude to customers
If you really want to go to this place, try their baked rice. I think there are around .. 6 choices of baked rice and those are the only plates I recommend.

Absolutely Delicious!
Submitted Thursday, February 26, 2009 - 4:14pm [Dine in]

My friend and I have never had Ethiopian food before, as we decided to give it a try. The menu is difficult to understnad, so please ask for help! The guy who took our order was the same guy who cooked our food, he was very helpful and patient as he guided us through our meal. The food came fast, and as my title reveals - absolutely delicious! I love the way Ethiopian plates are organized, and the fact that we get to eat with our hands. (actually we HAVE to.)
This is a nice place to hang out with friends, and once again I just have to point out that, eating with our hands was a really entertaining thing to do. There is only one negative thing I want to comment on, that they do not serve any Ethiopian drinks, so we end up drinking orange juice which kind of ruins the whole image.
Overall, great place! Definitely worth repeating.
