Wow is all I can say & not in a good way. After having been impressed by the other locations, my partner & I thought spending an afternoon @ The Boathouse White Rock for their Appy Hour specials would be a sure thing for satisfaction. We were wrong. Our first red flag was not being able to find a clean table inside forcing us to find seats outside on the deck. The "specials" were not so special- much smaller portions then usual & really only memorable due to our disappointment. Food: Yam fries a bit soggy, tiny portion. House salad does not live up to it's $10 price tag-wilted bagged spring mix w/ a few craisons. Chicken wings-greasy. Bucket of Shrimp~really should be called bucket of ice w/ shrimp. Service: Hard to find, lazy & uninterested in our comments. Ambiance: The view is fabulous~but marred by the lax in cleanliness of the interior. Value- 4 tiny appy specials + 2 drinks = bill over $50 leaving us hungry for an early dinner.
I've heard via the grapevine how fabulous this little mediterranean restaurant was & I only wish we would have tried it sooner. The service was over the top. We were welcomed immediately by the charming host & seated on the small cozy deck by the wall. My partner & I both opted to have one of their breakfast bakes~fresh ingredients & sizzling hot. Delicious! My americano was made to perfection, freshly ground, rich & dark topped with that needed coffee crema (froth) At the end of our meal our attentive hosts compted us a lovely dessert plate~2 small apple pastries with a caramel-like cinnamon sauce~YUM! The Value for the service & all the extra care put into the dishes is outstanding. The ambience is kitchie~old school & you feel like you're in a different city. All in all we can't wait to our return. Thank you Scoozi's!
We had heard good things about this restaurant but the big question is why? Cheap enough~ yes ~for large portions @ low prices but the quality is certainly not there. Tasteless~yes & doesn't leave you with a healthy feeling at the end. The ambiance is very very poor and seemed a little dirty. I would be very interested in seeing the food prep area. Please think to try another noodle house.
For an excellent fine dining experience you have to choose La Terrazza. The night we went was raining & parking was not in sight but the restaurant offered complimentary valet. The dinner & wine selection was wonderful. The restaurant feels very high-end. A great place for a romantic date.
Just had our first experience @ Pepitas. Portions are generous & tastey. Fun Ambiance with talented musician to add to you meal on a Friday night. Will definately go back again. Just a tip. If you want to order their specialty drinks best to order a pitcher to get the best deal.
