CinCin Ristorante + Bar1154 Robson Street, Vancouver
One of the nicest rooms in Vancouver

Well what can you say about Cincin that hasn't been said before. When you walk up the stairs from Robson st. you would think you were in a Tuscan Villa. I love the patio too ... small but very private. The service at Cincin is very good ... the staff is well trained and has a good knowledge of the menu and yes they even will make sure there are no crumbs left on your table for you. The pastry Chef Thierry is world class! His apple tartin with housemade Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream is to die for. The wine list is also impressive .. it's too bad Sebastien is no longer there ... he was really knew his wines. There is a reason that Hollywood stars frequent this restaurant so give it a shot.

Savory Coast1133 Robson St., Vancouver
Great Food, Great Patio and poor service!

Well here is my take on the Savory Coast on Robson. The Chef Romy Prasad who used to be at the helm across the street at Cincin is first class. His menu has a little bit of everything on it. His pizza's in the wood burning over are so tasty and at $12 you can't go wrong. The chicken saffron pasta is one of my favorites! The mushroom bruschetta is simply the best! Now why can't they just get the service part right? It seems depending on what day you happen to go there the service is at times good at others horrible. All in all give Savory a chance. If you find the service bad let them know .. they can't fix it if they don't know it's broken.

I have tried alot of Thai places around Vancouver and Montri's by far is the best. The service is friendly and fast .. the food reasonably priced. Parking can be a problem when it's busy but all in all .. a great experience!!

Hy's Encore637 Hornby Street, Vancouver
Missed the mark I'm afraid

First I would like to start off saying I have been a loyal customer of Hy's for over 20 years now. In fact my Mom used to drink with Hy in Calgary around the piano bar there. It's a shame that Hy's is not what it used to be. My steak came out medium rare when I asked for medium well .. my mother's steak was tough and full of grissle. My suggestion to you fill up on the cheesebread it's the best deal on the menu. I was disappointed in my dining experience and I don't think I will be going back for awhile.
