good job

been a couple of times, and will go again with friends, the quality presentation and flavor has been vary good, it shows that there is a professional in the kitchen, the wines are very reasonaly priced and considering you don"t have to drive to vancouver this place is a jem and a bargain. The interior could be elivated to the quality of the food but otherwise, I'm a regular.

Rosa's Cucina Italiana2331 Clarke Street, Port Moody
highly over-rated

went to rosa's once before, and had to wait outside, but recently this friday night waited ouside for almost an hour till our group of six were getting numb from the cold. Was the wait worth it? well .... I ordered the veal chops with vegitables, the waitress didn't bother to ask me how I wanted it done so I guess I shouldn't be surprized when it came, a grey over cooked sorry piece of veal, the vegitables were not inspiring either... no flavor, nothing to say this was italian. I am first generation italian and I know what moma's is like and this was not it. The waitress really needs to get a personality, because the service was unatentive and unintrested. But still people line up.. amazing! also amazing is if any of the peoples pictures on the wall acually ate there hmmm. the only good thing about the night was my wine selection, a nice chianti.

disapointing

My daughter took me and my wife out for my birthday and I love her for it, but my experience was a major disapointment. The gimick looks promising on the outside- but the owner must be laughing... bring raw food on a rock with no seasoning, little prep, charge a lot and make you cook... unbelievable! I ordered the muscles on the stone which my waitress let slip were frozen, me and my daughter shared them but left half there. I also had the rack of lamb, nice looking but I could of done better at home. The sides were embarassing ( three small tiny quarters of potato,a sliver of unseasoned red pepper......)
This place has potential, but they must hire a good chef, and try again, or go down in failure.
