Yummy, healthy and fresh

I have been to this place twice and have been very impressed with the product both times. The frozen yogurt is great and I love how the plain is not as sweet as other types.

We also had their waffle which was HUGE with a swirl of yogurt on it.The waffle was great full of really tasty whole grains and the yogurt accompanied it perfectly. This was easily enough for two people and came to just seven dollars.

I think based on the quality of the products, the service and the ambiance this is one frozen yogurt place that won't disappear.

Good crust, but really,I can do better at home
Submitted Monday, May 19, 2008 - 11:17am [Dine in]

After seeing the glowing reviews we decided that Friday night was pizza night and we needed something that wouldn't heat up the apartment. Ordering the Uncle Al and the Pesto Artichoke we thought our decisions were good. Unfortunately there was something about this pizza that wasn't quite right. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't particularly good, and as such we have decided to make our own pizza, at home, with the incredibly good dough you can buy at Capers.

Again I wouldn't caution anyone to not go, nor would I recommend it as the Pizza was alright, and probably by the slice you don't feel like you have wasted all that much money on the food.

Meh

We decided to try out this restaurant over the weekend. I've heard such good things and was very excited, some of the food was good, but all in all we weren't overly impressed.

We had the eggplant, which was alright, the pork belly was great and the gyoza were pretty good too. Perhaps the incredibly positive reviews had me expecting more. The Ebi mayo was very good as were the clams in sake. However the smoked mackerel was not exactly flavourful. It is possible we didn't order the right things, but I feel that there are better Itzakaya options around the city and if I want to go to one I'll try somewhere different next time.

Best take away curry
Submitted Sunday, April 13, 2008 - 8:44pm [Dine in]

We've ordered curry from a few places in the west end but this has to be the best value for money. The food tastes fantastic and the curries are very flavourful. The Naan is HUGE, and incredibly tasty. The decor of the restaurant itself may not be perfect but they have a product that is very good and the service friendly.

Excellent coffee, waffles and granola
Submitted Monday, March 10, 2008 - 12:54pm [Dine in]

The boyfriend and I went here fore breakfast a week ago. The space is beautiful and the choice of colours within the space make it feel sophisticated without being overly stuffy.

The food is also very good. The waffles and granola are great. The waffles are quite small, but have and intense aroma and huge flavour. The food is very rich and therefore I don't need a lot to be satisfied. The coffee is also fantastic and I love that the mocha wasn't as sweet as the ones you get from Starbucks.

A beautiful space, I'm just jealous of my boyfriend! It's so close to his work!

Tasty pizza now not only a Canmore specialty
Submitted Saturday, March 1, 2008 - 1:02pm [Dine in]

Having lived in Alberta before moving to the gorgeous coast, this restaurant was a favorite for supper after a long day of skiing the Calgary side of the Rockies. Lucky for me, living in Vancouver makes it a lot easier to have this pizza whenever I want.

The smoked salmon pizza was fantastic as was the blackberry salad! Incredibly tasty pizza place and I love that they make it possible for families with small children to dine there (not that I have any). If you want to avoid the rush and the kids head out for supper a little later and you won't be disappointed.

A pretty good sushi experience
Submitted Thursday, January 3, 2008 - 7:55pm [Dine in]

This is by no means the be all and end all of sushi restaurants. That being said it provides solid service with tasty well priced dishes. It does in a pinch when my boyfriend and I are craving sushi but don't feel like dishing out too much cash.

Incredibly tasty and enjoyable evening
Submitted Thursday, January 3, 2008 - 7:51pm [Dine in]

Parkside provided a thoroughly enjoyable evening that my boyfriend and I shared celebrating his birthday.

The food was flawless and incredibly well prepared. I am not entirely sure of why people have had such negative experiences but whatever the case I was more than pleased with the experience and would whole heartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone, except maybe those on a budget.
