Poor Overall
Submitted Sunday, June 8, 2008 - 1:26pm [Dine in]

Save yourself the money. The food is over priced and the quality is lacking. I can put up with most things except for rude customer service. We waited and waited for everything. Then when they served us, they were rude to us, like they were going out of their way for us to pay them to eat there.

Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

Delicious Food

I echo what others have said. The restaurant itself is somewhat cramped. We went there on a cold day and our table was close to the door so we could feel the draft each time the door opened.

The service was good. Not super polite. But I think that's just how they do things at this place.

The price was a bit more than I'd like to pay.

The food. This makes up for all of the above. It is exceptional. It is fresh and delicious. This place is more known for their sushi bar (three workers at the bar) and less about kitchen menu items.

Overall, we go again but only once in awhile because of the price.

Great Neighborhood Pub!

I think the previous reviews were a little harsh. Come on, let's remember this is a pub. Food in a pub shouldn't be compared to a fancy french restaurant. The food here, is solid and yummy. The website shows they have a nice selection with a variety of items. It's not all fried food. The previous comment about the lighting and the fact that it is noisy-come on, please. It's a bar. I don't like noise all that much either-so I go early for a drink and a bite and then bail. You could do the same. That's your choice. Lastly, the service is great. Working in the service industry is hard. They are very friendly and do a great job. It's a great local pub!

Great Calamari
Submitted Saturday, May 3, 2008 - 7:46pm [Dine in]

Our second time to Lombardo's. We shared a large pasta, calamari, and salad for two people. The Calamari was outstanding (better than Stepho's). She liked it, she said it was less oily than other places. I liked the dip. The caesar salad was fresh and had a very nice dressing. The pasta we ordered was clam and light tomato sauce. This was the only thing we didn't like. We thought there would be real clams mixed in. Instead, the clams came from the can and you could taste a bit of sand here and there. I ate it but she didn't like it. Will return, and try another pasta to compare.

Excellent Service & Delicious Food

We've eaten here many times. The sushi is by far one of the best on the North Shore. As someone, who's been to Japan, the food here is always delicious. There are many interesting rolls to try. The layout is interesting, with private tables in the back. The owners are a sweet couple and the servers keep the place running and deserve praise.
