(4) (4)The food was amazing. You can't really go wrong with the menu...the share platters are good and have more than enough food. The ambiance is cool, but a bit old school and cluttered. Be prepared to take off your shoes as may sit on a the ground. Service was alright, not very fast, but the servers were really helpful as we weren't too sure what to order.
If you are looking for a cool atmosphere, then Pinky's is the place to go. It has a retro/glamour feel. The food isn't the greatest though. One of my friend's had steak and loved it, another had the chicken fettuccini and was less then impressed, I had the flatbread...it was alright. Nothing to rave about, but nothing to complain about either. Although each we all loved the appies we ordered, as well as our sides (the spicy mushrooms and the chicken skewers, mashed potato's). The drinks were outstanding. Overall a great place to hang out, have some drinks and appies.
I love Saffron! Their butter chicken, and shahi paneer (I think that's how you spell it) are amazing. They both have a similar sauce and equally yummy! I've been for their lunch buffet, and I must tell you to prepare for a wait (it's worth it though). The service is sometimes a bit on the slow side...it's not bad...just a bit slow. But it is okay because you want to take your time and enjoy all the flavours the food has to offer. I have ordered off their dinner menu as well...overall the food is amazing! It's in Burnaby, but it is worth the drive!!
