Food quite good
Submitted Tuesday, June 10, 2008 - 2:32pm [Dine in]

I was daimasu burnaby for lunch and I would have to say that the food is quite solid. I was seated promptly probably because it wasn't busy. I ordered some rolls and a sukiyaki beef udon. The soup of the udon is quite tasty. The cones need more filling as it felt like a all you can eat restaurant type of cone. The service was standard and was solid but nothing to rave about. Value wise also quite good. Would recommend to try.

This place is newly opened and I must say if fairly better than some all you can eat restaurants that I have been too. The food is pretty decent and perfect if you in a hurry for a quick bite. The service can also use some improvement but I won't complain too much after all there is no perfect service for all you can eat restaurants.

Go for the food not the service!!

To my surprise this place is pretty darn quiet for a weekend. I was in for dinner over the weekend and they have quite a decent selection of food ranging from sashimi to sushi to tempura etc... Its a nice pleasant place to eat yet yet the service needs much improvement. I had to wait forever for my drinks and even ginger and they weren't even busy. The managers attitute could also use improvement as I simply didn't like his tone when we complained. Not a very efficient person at all. Its obvious subordinates follows its leader. I can't comment much also in the washrooms... its darn filthy. If I do go back it will be for the food not for the service.

Good Late Night Eats
Submitted Wednesday, April 30, 2008 - 3:55pm [Dine in]

I am a regular at this restaurant and I must say that it is one of the most convenient restaurants in Richmond. It offers all sorts of Chinese and Western foods even burgers. It is also a hot spot for youngsters. The food is nothing special, the washroom needs work, however the a late night joint the service isn't bad. Would recommend the bbq duck on rice. Its quite good.

This is my first review on this site and decided for this restaurant to be my first review since it is the most fresh in my mind. Came here for dinner tonight based on the reviews and I have to admit that I was quite impressed with the overall standards here. The Sashimi was fresh, the sushi was delicious, and the rolls were well made. The tempura was crispy and juicy though a little bit too oily. The service here is quite good for an all you can eat restaurant. The restaurant looks refreshing and clean. I will certainly return. This has become my favourite all you can eat restaurant and its clear better than its competition.
