I’ve been to Bridges twice and dined on the downstairs patio both times. It is true that the view from the Bridges patio is sensational ; unfortunately the food leaves a little to be desired. The first time I dined there I opted for the ceviche (disgusting) and a halibut / coconut number (tasty though was only slightly warm when it arrived at the table). The second time I opted for the halibut and crab burger which sounded nice on the menu but turned out to be a deep fried patty of unknown origin, which I could have dealt with had it not set me back $17.
The food is extremely over priced and you can have a much better culinary experience at other places in the city for the same $$!
I guess I am really just reiterating what we all know; the food is OK but extremely overpriced … we’re there for the patio and view on a sunny day.
The food and presentation at Abigail’s Party is superb. The menu has a great range and variety of tasty tapas. Some of the dishes are a little hard to share but that is a minor problem. The décor inside is beautiful and there is a nice patio area to sit outside when the weather is nice.
The soup I ordered was inedible; soggy noodles, watery broth and unidentifiable “meat”. The ambiance is exactly what you would expect from a cafeteria style place … OK if you want to zip in for a quick bite. The food was too gross, I won’t return.
Burrito Bros. offers great value for money. We went with the Burrito Bombers which were large and very tasty. We downed some Mexican beer whilst waiting for our food. Being within close proximity to Kits beach, take away is a great option!
The food is OK. Some things are better than others ...
The BBQ set up is fun and getting the "all you can" deal is easy when you are with a large group.
The service is sketchy and you are unlikely to get the drink that you actually ordered.
There is definitely tasty food to be found at Phnom Penh.
I’m a fan of the bun (fresh noodle) dishes – cha gio (spring rolls) and lemongrass beef are great. I’m not such a fan of the soups.
Some of the dishes are a bit more pricey than you might find at other similar restaurants but the serving sizes are big.
After all the hype I tried the chicken wings and I have to admit they were good, if you are into the deep fried kind of stuff.
The moo shakes are also good.
