This is short and sweet...Blue Water never lets me down. The service is always amazing and the food is incredible. Sat at the Sushi Bar last week and didn't want to leave. I have nothing negative to say about Blue Water and can only hope that other restaurants will rise to this level. I can see why they win so many awards and have such praise. I have sent many people here and when I can't think of anywhere to go, I end up back here!
This review is a month old...but I did have a great experience at DB Bistro. Service was very good but our waiter and about 2 other staff asked us three times if we wanted water....don't push the water....we like wine and cocktails with our food. I think the room is beautiful, nice ambiance once the lights dimmed part way through dinner. My main was the bershire pork duo...extremely tasty. I nice wine was suggested and really everything else was perfect.
I recently tried the crave restaurant in West Vancouver and don't agree with the previous comments about some of the food. The menu does say that the cobb salad is "buttermilk FRIED chicken" and the ahi tuna roll does state that it is a "tempura roll"...I'm sure that always means deep fried. I know the orignal crave uses romaine lettuce in their cobb salad, not iceberg lettuce and it is a huge and very filling meal. The short rib poutine was also very nice...not like the traditional poutine many people may know. Comforting on a cold winter night!
Had a great burger at crave! Cooked properly on a grill, organic beef. When I asked about the bun, I was told that it was a potatoe scallion bun, served with house-made garlic mayo. Very nice. Incredible fries - not frozen like a chain restaurant. Nice place - can't wait for the rain to stop and check out their garden patio.
