Lots of choice on the menu but i recommend the bbq. Service is blah and sometimes non existence, but who cares, you are cooking your own pre marinaded meats which are very tasty. Value is fine, cause at the end you will be stuffed. The decor is average at best.
food was very tasty and unique. this place reminded me of the keg but slightly better. The service was friendly and very attentive, they went above and beyond. The menu is pretty pricey but hey this is a higher end restaurant and the food was very tasty. Decor all around was very classy and the bathroom was straight balla. Defineately a great place to take a date to impress her.
They have some unique dishes and their chicken wings is probably one of the best in Vancouver. BUT service is mediocre, line ups are usually long. Price has gone up too much and value is no longer there. Management is getting greedy now that this restaurant is getting mainstream attention.
The ramen and the soup base is very unique and tasty. Probably best in the city. BUT the line up is usually brutal, sitting is very limited and sometimes you have to share a table with strangers. i usually equate ramen with affordable cheap food, but this is not the case, b/c Each bowl of ramen is around 10 bux. In addition, can the bathroom be any smaller?
Big portions of food offered. I have tried most of the menu and its all above average. The service is usually good but there is usually a long line up outside. Lots of value for what you get. Ambiance is solid b/c everyone is enjoying their fairly priced tasty meals. Me likee this place.
I have been a regular at this place for quite a long time. Their food i swear has gone from outstanding to solid. Portion size went down as well. service is still outstanding and the servers are always friendly and full of energy. its on the pricey side, it usually cost me around 40-50 per meal here (having a few tapas adds up).
If you can stand waiting in line outside for at least 10mins to get a tasty hot dog with a Japanese twist, this is the place for you. I have tried the whole menu and my favorite is the teri mayo. Service is only mediocre cause these guys (usually 2 workers) are working there asses for filling orders. These hot dogs are on the pricey side but they are tasty. Ambiance = me standing or finding a place on the sidewalk to stand while people in line watch me eat.
Overall experience was Blah! Took there sweet ass time to take our order and then he waitress had to take our drink order twice b/c she got us the wrong drink, sigh, ok, no problem. Then we looked at the menu, dam this place is pricey, sigh, whatever, maybe the food is outstanding; Nope is was solid at best and I found the portions to be kind of small. The live chef's performance was commendable but they do it better at Kobe's steak house next door. Well, at least the decor was nice.
Sushi is outstanding when compared to other sushi places. The problem is that the service is just Terrible. it took about 3 mins for any waitress to acknowledge my existence and about 15-20mins to get a table. The whole dinning experience felt rushed. Pricing is reasonable, and the decor is Blah.
Whenever I am in the Granville Island area I always try to hit up Olie's Pizzeria. One bite of their thin slice pizza and you will know this is something different and refreshing. Fresh ingredients and lots of variety of toppings to choose from = one tasty pizza. Service is friendly and prompt. Value wise, I will say that you get what you paid for. Definitely give this place a try, you wont be disappointed.
