Great Indian!
Submitted Tuesday, July 31, 2012 - 1:39pm [Dine in]

This restaurant was a great find. We stumbled upon it by accident and were very impressed.
We had a butter chicken (obviously) and an Okra plate. Both had a nice kick but was not too overpowering. We were in for lunch and it was busy but everything came in a timely fashion. Lunch for two with a drink each was less than $50.00 with a nice tip. Great value Indian restaurant.

Great little bistro tucked away. We came under a recommendation from some friends and had a great evening.
I had the linguini vongole and it was superb. Another big hit was the short ribs. All four of us enjoyed are meals.
We sat on the patio and would recommend doing the same as it very quaint.
Try this place out. Good food and service

Pretty Good Food
Submitted Monday, December 26, 2011 - 9:32pm [Dine in]

Started with a few appies which were all quite tasty. Pita bread was fresh and hot.
I had the roast lamb which was tender and tasty. Tried my friends souvlaki which was a litttle dry but not bad.
Portions were all ample.
Service was quick and attentive and the prices were very reasonable.
The restaurant itself was beautiful inside. I mean very nice!
Will definitely be returning and would recommend. Try the Lamb!

Our New Favourite!
Submitted Wednesday, December 14, 2011 - 9:36am [Dine in]

Dined with our office staff for our Christmas party and was very impressed with everything.
Service was very attentive. We had two waitresses dedicated entirely to our group of 20 or so.
The real highlight at this restaurant however is the food. I had the miso and sake sablefish which was such a treat. It came with some sort of rissoto and baby carrots. Our entire table had some sort of appetizer tasting platter which was delicious. The highlight of that is an old classic. Scallops wrapped in Back bacon with cocktail sauce. Simple but delicious! Had a seafood chowder as well which was probably the best chowder I've had in my life

For desert I had the Tiramisu which although a little on the small side was decadent. Will definitely be returning with my family as I am convinced that this is one of the only two nice restaurants in Richmond. (Tapenade is the other one!)

I didn't pay for the bill so I'm not exactly sure how much it cost but I did see the prices on the menu and wine list and everything looked very reasonable. Also note the restaurant was full when we entered so probably best to make a reservation. Enjoy!

Boathouse Restaurant, The8331 River Road, Richmond
Mediocre dining experience
Submitted Tuesday, November 29, 2011 - 1:33am [Dine in]

Have been to the Boathouse in Richmond (as well as other locations) a few times throughout the years.
Our last visit in october was pleasent enough however for the price tag attached you'd expect a little.
We shared the firecracker shrimp which was simply o.k.
The Arctic Char I had for dinner was slightly dry and I'm assuming overcooked.
Had the server asked if everything was okay I would have been honest and said not quite however, we were not even given the opportunity. My husbands halibut was tasty.
Skipped dessert and coffee.

Although food was o.k, it doesn't quite meet the standard at which they've priced themselves.
Don't think I'd return on my own accord.

Stepho's Greek Taverna1124 Davie St, Vancouver
Not impressed.

Have to agree with many of the reviewers here there is just little value at Stepho's
After waiting in line for nearly 20 minutes which wasn't a huge deal, one couldn't but notice tons of empty seating in the restaurant. They obviously do a fair amount of business so there is no excuse to be understaffed.
As far as the food I found it to be simply mediocre. I had the Roast Lamb which was very typical and nothing to write home about. The calamari was slightly dry and lacking in flavour.
So many more choices for Greek food in the mainland that I won't be putting up with such poor customer service to eat mediocre food here.
