This restaurant recently re-opened again after being closed for about a year while they attended to a family emergency in Japan. Like mentioned by another reviewer this place is actually run by a Japanese family which is somewhat rare for a sushi joint.
The restaurant itself is small but clean, we've eaten in a few times but usually just get takeout. The service has always been good when we've been there, although sometimes I find the restaurant uncomfortably warm... I guess because it's so small.
Food is quite good, they make the best Dynamite Roll I've ever had and I like their Alaska Roll although it's too big to pop the whole piece in your mouth at once which irks me.
Prices are average but the portions are large so I think it's good value.
Nice Japanese Family, always friendly, I recommend this restaurant.

The food was OK, but it wasn't great. My steak was cooked the way I ordered but it was chewy and didn't taste very good. We listened to a 5 min spiel about seating about how they only serve the top 5% Of meat out there so I expected better than a tough chewy steak for dinner.
The Ahi Tuna appetizer came with only very little of the advertised Mango Chutney and was hardly worth it.
Our server was very nice and I appreciate how hard she tried. It really bothered me though that they ran out of items at 6:00 on a Friday night. It seemed like poor planning to run out of items so early.
I don't know if I'll return, for the price there are better places to eat in Vancouver. Maybe things will improve with time but I think some of these reviews might be biased (maybe staff) because I don't think this place is as great as some of these reviews imply.
