Amazing Ragu
Submitted Sunday, June 21, 2009 - 7:55pm [Dine in]

I first started visiting this place a breakfast stop and was always impressed with the freshness of ingredients, presentation & value. The back patio is a fabulous place to spend a weekend morning - very quaint.

I quickly had to try out all meals of the day, and once I got to dinner and had the shorty ragu I was smitten. This sauce is cooked for hours, the lean short ribs are shredded and tender, the sauce simple & fresh. The herb garden off the back patio is a sure testiment of what freshness means to them.

Every meal that someone wants to dine out for, I sugest Crave as it always impresses. My friends and family are now hooked, and like me, constantly going back for more.

My only complaint is the lack of ability to make reservations, although unless you are going for breakfast or dinner on a weekend - hasn't been too much of a problem - beside you can always put your name down and do some Main Street exploring until something comes available.

Not your Chicken Chow Mein kind of establishment

If you love spicy this is your place. This is not the kind of place you order spring rolls and sweet and sour pork.. although you can. They are all about spicing it up. So many things to die for on this menu. #1 - Tan Tan Noodle, its like peanut buttery, spicy and delicious. Tied for #2 is the Extraoridnary Ginger Beef, so potent in flavour always cooked just right. Also Szechaun Green Beans. Ive taken so many people here and they say they dont like bean but make the exception for these babies. So crispy and tasty. Other things to get are the Pork Lettuce wraps, Chongqing Chicken and Fried Bread. All around great choices, you will not be disappointed. Lines on the weekends, so make a reservation... service is a hit or a miss... generally pretty solid.

The nacho's here are the most original I have ever had... Yeah Yeah, here's some cheese, here's some tomato - pffttt.... these guys are loaded with beans and cheese, and the actual chip is SOOO good. So crunchy... I love the hot sauce at the table provided, its perfect all around, such a great add on to the nacho's... Everything else Ive tried is great, Im looking forward to sampling more on this menu. I agree the service is a little slow when it gets busy, I think they are still getting there S^*t together.... Keep it up!!

The Good first...then the bad....
Submitted Monday, January 29, 2007 - 10:34am [Dine in]

The good ... I really enjoyed the little table for two by the window, nice and tucked away. I also enjoyed the service. A lot of times the service is lacking at Dineout time... who knows why? If you dont order enough drinks/wine some servers get rather annoyed... I think servers forget you DONT actually HAVE to leave a tip... crappy service = o%...
The Bad: the food was almost unedible. Calamari - ok... sticky ribs - ok... sweet chili chicken was disgusting, if you like hot wings you will like these, but you can taste that horrible unimaginative sauce... so plain.. I think its just tabasco... so much room for improvement.. didnt taste and sweet or chili...
The Prawn curry's portion of prawns were great.. a lot of prawns just that they were very bland and uncooked.... Room for improvement!!! I wont be going back until that happens.

Not worth the cheap drinks anymore

Some of the servers get so mad if you dont order drinks. The service goes down from there.... The cocktails are watered down syrupy crap.. and not even worth the low price. In my experience, the waiter's take it upon themselves to customize your order if you do not specify... Seems like a good deal at first glance, but do yourself a favour and spend the extra few bucks somewhere else...
