Ole Ole Mexican Deli831 12th Street, New Westminster
Delicious Dishes, Perfect Prices

Ole Ole is a great place to get very some very tasty home style Mexican dishes at very reasonable prices. I'm aghast that anyone would say it's too expensive - the most expensive thing on the menu is $10! It's not a place you'll find foodies ooohing over presentation and hoping to be seen, but it is what your parents might have affectionately called a hole-in-the-wall. Just walk in and sit anywhere you like, the owner, a warm and friendly man, will greet you with a smile and the special of the day.

Tonight our table had: a plate of Nachos, 1 chicken flautas, 2 pork in a green chili sauce (today's special), 1 carnitas, and a quesadilla for the kid. The food arrived quickly and piping hot, and the owner even troubled himself to bring the kids meal first so the world's slowest eater might finish by the time we did. Everyone was delighted with their meal. We also had a couple coffees and hot chocolates, while the coffee was good the hot chocolate was outstanding - definitely order yourself a hot chocolate!

There are only one or two people working there at any time so you wouldn't want to take a large group - it would just be unreasonable to expect everyone's meal to be ready at the same time. I found it a little chilly and did keep my jacket on through dinner but I'm willing to assign at least some of the problem to the unbelievably cold winter we're experiencing.

I will absolutely return and highly recommend the restaurant to others. If you want hearty authentic Mexican food, you want Ole Ole.
