I saw this restaurant on Diners Drive in's and dives on Fri day evening, the food looked amazing so I picked up the phone and made a booking for Saturday night I was told they only takes reservations for 5 or more which was fine because we were 6. I called on Saturday afternoon to confirm and was told 'sorry but we can't carry over your reservation' whatever that means. Anyway we went and had to wait about 20 mins for a table, which is ok. The food was very ordinary nothing special - just another restaurant that serves most the menu deep fried with noodles. Not rushing back anytime soon. I sometimes wonder if all the hype can be harmful to a restaurant.

We had a very enjoyable meal from this restaurant.
The platter was great value, two chicklen legs and thighs, three types of ribs, choice of 4 sides, we had beans, good coleslaw, yam fries and regular fries. The platter is enough for three.
Will definitely return - good job. We had take out so was not to comment on service.

I had a great experience here the burger was great, no fatty residue on my teeth or palate afterwards, tasty seasoning, fresh cut tomato, onion, lettuce and crispy fries. Friendly and clean (okay it is still very) environment to enjoy a good burger.

They have this 'branding' device to brand the logo into the top of the bun, pretty neat.

Finally I got there! Thanks Patrick I had a great evening last night. great cheese plate never had any of the meats though next time. Met an interesting bunch of people at the bar.
Other comments have indicated dissapointment in portion sizes, Gudrun is a 'Tasting Room' and it fits that description exactly

This small under the radar establishment always seems to slip my mind when thinking of places to eat, but this time I remembered.
Good thing I did we had were a party of 6 friends who had a great relaxed and unhurried evening out, will be back for sure and according to my friends so will they.

Interesting to see that every wine (approx 10 white and 10 red) as well as beer on tap (approx 5) were all local BC. I thought that was fantastic.

My only really small issue is that the room was very loud, I am not sure why because it is small and cosy.

Thank you Jeff the service was great
