Great sushi place!
Submitted Tuesday, June 16, 2009 - 9:16pm [Dine in]

We loved this restaurant. Just a little more (dollar or two) than what we are used to in Vancouver, but much much better. The food was great! I ordered a bento box with tempura, and the tempura was perfectly cooked and much less greasy than I am used to. The chicken was not covered in slimy skin, and the teriyaki sauce was great! The rice had a nice sesame sauce on it too, nice FRESH salad and much more that just one cut up leaf as is found in usual sushi places. I ordered a coke, and got a slice of lemon on top! Just perfect for a hot day. Tea came the second we were seated, and the other food was prompt. The miso soup was the best I've had in a long time, plenty of tofu and green onions, not skimpy. The decor was fine, generic Asian style, but again, more effort than the usual sushi place. We would definitely recommend this place and I even took a business card to make sure I remember where to find it next time I go to Victoria!

Acceptable pizza
Submitted Friday, June 5, 2009 - 2:17pm [Dine in]

We went to this restaurant a few days after it opened, and it was fairly busy. Would recommend making a reservation, especially on a weekend. We were seated on the patio, but directly under a tree. The shade was nice, but we had a few bugs falling on to our table, which was unpleasant. They did have a nice selection of pizzas, and we all enjoyed our meals. Not the best pizza we've had, a bit bland, but certainly tasty enough. It's got a good location that overlooks Lynn Valley Village, and you do feel like you're in a community setting.

Great coffee shop
Submitted Friday, June 5, 2009 - 2:08pm [Dine in]

Brazza is a great coffee shop with quick service and friendly staff. They make amazing caramel macchiatos, good muffins, and good gelato. Reasonable prices, lots of tables, and free wireless internet make it my favourite place to go on lunch break, or with friends to warm up in the winter or cool off in the summer. Also, they make their drinks attractive by making designs on the foam of lattes in their large mugs, which makes you want to stay, sit down, and enjoy your drink.

Forgotten order
Submitted Friday, June 5, 2009 - 2:01pm [Dine in]

We arrived at the restaurant before the dinner rush, and were one of about 3 or 4 couples in the restaurant. We ordered an appetizer before our main dish, and it took about 20 minutes for that to arrive, which was fine. But, we sat there with our empty dish on the table and empty water glasses for nearly half an hour, trying to catch a waiter's eye. After a waiter finally did come to take our plates away, we waited another 10 minutes before another waitress told us our order had been forgotten. A total of an hour and 20 minutes after we had been seated, our main course arrived. The food was good, and when we had finished, a waitress apologized for forgetting our order and gave us a complimentary dessert. A nice gesture, but with the cost of the meal and the poor service we received, we decided not to go back.

Not worth the wait
Submitted Friday, June 5, 2009 - 1:56pm [Dine in]

I arrived at about 11:45am on my 45 minute long lunch break. The server took about 5 minutes to even place my order, continually touching the screen and looking confused. He told me my pizza would be about15 minutes, but it was 12:15 before I got my pizza and my lunch break was already over. When I finally got the chance to eat the pizza, the crust was very greasy and it felt like an entire onion had been chopped up and placed on my small sized pizza. I had to pick most of it off before I could taste anything else on it. Not worth the $15 I spent, or my wasted lunchbreak.
