Aqua Riva200 Granville Street, Suite 30, Vancouver
meh, i mean not very good
Submitted Friday, January 7, 2005 - 11:12pm [Dine in]

I mean cmon, if i was a tourist, paying $60 a head, i would be pissed. Aqua Riva is a true tourist trap. Nice view, pretty decore, and bad service. I had the lamb, it was bad. the waitress made me mad, she was plain, overly friendly for the price, and kinda rude. I will probably not return, unless its part of a cruise.

This is the place for seafood in Vancouver

This is it, one of the best in the lower mainland. Oustanding service, excellent food, and the best fresh sheet around. A wine spectator gold star restaurant for years, with a line list that wont disappoint. price are high, but well worth it. If you love fish and and a huge selection of seafood from around the world, visit the Cannery. Never less than superb!

Sunset Grill2204 York Avenue, Vancouver
good place for weeknights

A friend and I have been here a couple times over the last month. They have great weekday specials, cheap wings on tuesday, and $2.50 highballs. The service is fair to poor, which is in stading with most local pubs. All and all, a decent place to relax, and watch the game. With such a great location, they will hopefully raise the bar a bit for kits, which in my view is kinda weak. Good potential.

Me and some friends were in here on Friday night, and it was pretty good. I had the teriyaki salmon, which was simple, but good @ $14.99. The appy's looks great, and well priced. Our waitress was awesome, and should be commended. She said she was new, but nevr failed to keep my drink full ( which is a task! ) even as they got extemely busy. All in, a good spot. I will go back. I did like the old Dt location much better though.

Yuk

This place a joke, plain and simple. We waited for 20 minutes only to be served 2 uneatable burgers. The first was so sloppy it was inpossible to eat, for other covered in mold, seriously, mold.
We confronted the 17 year old manager at the kits location, only to receive a $5 bill and a "shitty dude, that sucks, sorry". The concept of this place is good, but the execution is laking. C'mon Vera get it together, hire some adults to represent your investment, instead of the slack ass teenagers you have there now.

This is no diner
Submitted Monday, December 6, 2004 - 10:12am [Dine in]

This place would be great if they actually had diner food. Instead they serve up organic burgers, veggie dogs and nerdy stuff like that. It is a tree hugin hippie diner heaven. If you mant a good burger, all day breakfast, or a tuna melt, dont go here. This place has great pottential, that is left unseen due to its aweful menu and poor service.

If your hungry, and your not sure what to eat, try Shabusen. They have an all you can eat menu for $21.00 that inludes tones of options, like sushi, BBQ(cook yourself), tempura, great chicken wings, virtually everything on a Japanese restaurant menu. A great place for a large group.

Found this cool little spot on the way home last night. Cozy and funky decore. Great drink specials (we indulged in the $2.50 highballs for about 4 hours). We didnt eat as we had already had dinner. The cutie behind the bar kept our glasses full and smiles on our face. We will return for a meal soon.

Great BBQ, the way it was meant to be. Cool place with super good food. The service sucked, but our bill was only $120 for 3 couples, including two pitchers of beer.
Great place for a casual meal with friends.
