Buffalo Wild Wings & Ribs800 West King Street, Oshawa
Promotional Mismanagment
Submitted Monday, May 16, 2011 - 1:22pm [Dine in]

Two days before the actual grand opening of the American Juggernaut "Buffalo Wild Wings", I was informed that the first 100 guests recieve 10 free wings a week for one year. This seemed like a good deal and something that I wouldn't mind waiting in line for. To my surprise when I arrived there around 7am there was maybe about 60 people in attendance. The wating hoard seemed to be randomly milling about, so I did the same. Ten minutes later I was given a restaraunt sticker and told that everyone recieved a sticker for every hour in attendance. Those with the most stickers line up front and in order of stickers in posession the rest fall in. I thought to myself that this was awesome, there much less of a chance of line jumpers and so on. I sat by quietly and watched car loads of people pull up and jump in line, I didn't care as I assumed it would all be sorted out at the door and the honest people would be rewarded with some tasty wings. By the time the doors opened I had three stickers in hand and only about 75 people ahead of me. 11:00 am hit and the doors flew open, guests were being ushered in at break neck speeds with zero requests to see the amount of stickers let alone any stickers AT ALL ! I ended up being about 10 spaces past the cut off and was offered a B*llsh*t response when I and several others piped up about the fact that the sorting process was completely overlooked. In turn we were offered a measly coupon for five free wings. Once inside we were treated to spectacular service by our server Megan. Although clearly nervous about her first day, Megan made every effort to provide excellent service and find a manger to write the wrongs. Two managers and a bit of finger pointing later we were offered another B*llsh*t excuses of "what? People jumped the line? They didn"t verify any of the stickers given out ?" There were no attempts what so ever to satisfy myself and fellow guests victim to the same cheaters. Although the food was pretty good, it was over priced for what is offered in the area by good, honest CANADIAN establishments who actually stand behind thier advertising. Save you money and a trip to the Shwa and go somewhere else.
