decided to try this place after passing it on kerr st several times. wait time was ok considering there were people coming in and out fairly steadily. sushi was just ok, nothing spectacular.
my food was left for the person at the front counter to finish off.....asking if i wanted sesame seeds on it etc......i was fine with that. then she asked if i wanted the pickled ginger......sure, why not. then i noticed her using her fingers to take it off the spoon and into my order. same fingers she had just finished handling cash with and dealing with customers at front counter. wasn't impressed. needless to say i didn't eat that part of it.
there's enough sushi joints in town that i won't miss not going to this one.

I decided to try this place after noticing it going to Taco Del Mar beside it numerous times. Decided to give it a shot but wasn't worth it. I ordered the California Rolls which were extremely large in size and had nothing stand out flavour wise. The Salmon Rolls were bite size but the salmon didn't taste fresh at all. I was honestly worried if i'd start upchucking my lunch. Then the Dynamite Rolls......well these are generally supposed to be larger sized but these were pre made and just handed to me from the cooler. Bad idea. Overall it was really disappointing especially given that the tempura battered prawn in the roll was not crunchy but soggy. The rolls weren't rolled tight either.......everything fell apart and their size didn't help the fact either.
Glad I tried it, so now I won't wonder what it's like and no need to go back.

Drove by this place numerous times and finally decided to try it with some friends after reading a little snippet in the Vancouver Province food section. Needless to say, you shouldn't believe everything you read.
The retro decor was funky and added to the ambiance. I was there with family and everyone ordered a variety of food from burgers, omlettes to sandwiches. All of it badly done. No one enjoyed the food. The best part of my meal was the bite and a half they give you of the apple coleslaw.
The burgers were overcooked. The mushrooms dried out. The omelletes rubbery. The potatoes that came with the omelettes you could tell weren't even touched after placing in pan till plating. Bottom ones were burnt while ones on top were uncooked. I won't even touch the panini's.
I truely wish I had gone to Denny's instead. At least I know everyone would've enjoyed thier meals.

Went into Asiana on a friday night........empty. We were the only family dining there. Service was decent considering there was no one else to wait on. The food, extremely poor quality. Tasted like it was brought out of the freezer and re-heated. Didn't have a freshness to it at all and that included the NAAN.
This place used to be great when it was located on Victoria Dr. and used to go there regularly. Since the owner has started focusing on the catering end of things the restaurant has gone down hill. I know I won't be going back.
