My husband and I decided to try this Place one night since i was too tired too cook. I saw a lot of advertising for the place and thought we should try it since it isn't too far from home.
We went in on a Monday night, it wasn't very busy so we helped ourselves to the large booth. Im glad they had high chairs since Emma was having a fuss.
We order a couple of mini macs for the kids which came with a drink and a cookie. They cookies we're a bit stale and i usually wouldn't expect much out of a kids pack but seeing that it was kerrisdale and cost me about 8$ bucks after taxes you'd think they would at least keep up with the cookies. Its not like they had many other baked goods offered ( just a cinnamon bun )
My husband ordered a build your own pasta.
And I ordered the Royale. It consisted if chorizo sausage, shrimp, and a bunch of veggies in a marinara sauce. Both pastas were baked with cheese in a ceramic plate. Hot to touch but I couldn't say the same about the contents inside. Seeing that it was an open concept kitchen we were intrigued. We watched him, as he watched the football game and checked his phone. Our food came in a timely matter. It was warm, but i didnt bother complaining because our server was sweet. We fed the kids and shared our macs. The ingredients are clearly low quality. Especially considering the prices and location. I could easily tell the passion was not there, such a shame for such a beautiful concept, place and location.
It is apparent that a lot of money was invested into the design At the Mac shack but little work goes into it now.
You took the time to rip the ideas off the states, but poorly executed it.
I should call Ramsey.
