Ramen Jinya270 Robson Street, Vancouver
Chintzy on Protein
Submitted Sunday, August 25, 2013 - 12:27am [Dine in]

Busy little place but not worth the wait with so many other good restaurants close by. The are generally cheap on their meat portions so if you really like more ramen this may be the place for you. The taste is good though not great and sometimes a bit too salty. OK but nothing stands out about this place.

Excellent Lunch Hour Spot
Submitted Sunday, August 25, 2013 - 12:15am [Dine in]

I go there every week, the food is good, the service is quick and the value is amazing. Lunch specials typically costs $8.50 and the portions are generous. The regular lunch menu is priced slight more but still a great value. Only downside is the place gets busy very quickly so try to go there a few minutes earlier.

Love the Deep Fried Chicken Wings Stuffed with Sticky Rice

Solid menu of dim sum items with the one outstanding dish as mentioned in the title. Overpriced unless you have the Top Gun card, then it becomes a good deal especially if you are an early eater. Haven't tried the sushi for dim sum, I find it a bit weird. Can't go far wrong with this place.

Great Place for Dim Sum for Early Birds
Submitted Sunday, August 25, 2013 - 12:00am [Dine in]

We can't seem to find many dim sum places that opens at 9am so this place really suits us find. The good is great and we normally get good service from them - yes we are regulars. Only downside about this place is that they don't serve congee this early. Highly recommended.

Great Place for Lunch in Chinatown
Submitted Saturday, August 24, 2013 - 11:50pm [Dine in]

Delicious German sausages in the heart of Chinatown. The beet salad is a delicious add-on or replacement for the fries. Good selection of beers/schnapps. Highly recommended. It gets quite busy during the week-days at lunch hour so be prepared to wait it out or take it outside.

Salty Dining Experience
Submitted Saturday, August 24, 2013 - 11:19pm [Dine in]

This is the saltiest dining experience we've encountered - and we dine out a lot. We ordered the kale salad and it was so salty we told our waitress and all she said was that she would notify the chef. No offer to substitute or redo the salad. Our next order was the deep fried pork rinds - a little too salty for our liking. Our third order was the flat iron steak, the steak was good but the chips that came with it was also too salty (really needed to spread the bone marrow dip to cut down on the salt taste).

We tried this restaurant based on good reviews from another site. Would not recommend this place.

Favourite Chinese food in a food court
Submitted Wednesday, March 28, 2012 - 11:58am [Take-out]

New food court restaurant in Lansdowne. Seems like the busiest one in the food court. Tried there sui long bao and it is one of the best I've ever had, thin dough and ample soup inside. They make it on site. Went back the next day and ordered their pork wonton. It was very small, delicate, and delicious. Also had their pan fried pancake it was very flaky and crispy but a little bit bland for my taste. Be prepared to wait a bit longer than normal because it is not your typical fast food take-out.
