My mom and I had lunch there early February and we were very disappointed with the service on our second visit. There was only one server on the floor so that explained why the service was so slow. I was requesting something from a server but then she went off somewhere while I was talking to her. We couldn't finish our potato noodles so we asked the server to pack the food. She used the same tong that touched the raw meat to pack our food. She apologized sincerely but we weren't very happy with the slow service and overall food quality. It had pretty good food portions for two people. I did not feel the noodles were worth that price. We may visit there again because our first visit was a very good experience.

My husband and I celebrated a special occasion at Griffins. We had the entertainment coupon that day but I think i'll go there again even without any coupon.
Service: Right when we stepped into the restaurant we were greeted by a man. He smiled and asked us how our day was. He even asked if it was our first time at the restaurant. He seated us and helped me with my chair and placed the napkin on our lap. Then he said to have a wonderful evening. Our server was very nice. She smiled most of the time and asked us how we were doing once in a while. At the end, she said goodbye to us.
Food: The food was excellent. We ordered the prime rib and I believe the seafood trio. The prime rib was so tasty and very tender. It also came with mash potatos and some veggies. I never really liked mash potatoes but theirs were very good. The seafood trio was really good too. The salmon was very fresh. It melted in my mouth. The halibut was okay but because everything else was very good I wasn't very picky about the halibut.
Value: Compared to other expensive restaurants, Griffins had really good portions. We were very full at the end. The meal included dessert buffet.
Ambience: The chairs were very soft and nice. I really like the high ceilings. The look really suited the name.
Overall: I would recommend this restaurant to people. I would definately visit there again because we left happy.

My husband and I decided to try Shaughessy Restaurant because we have never been there before. The food was good, but the service and value was really bad on V-day. They gave us a set menu, which was expensive, and dessert was extra. The service was pretty slow. I loved the atmosphere though. The lighting was nice and it was a romantic place to be in on V-day. The food was decent. It wasn't the best but it was still delicious.
We called in specifically to ask if we could use the entertainment coupon on Valentines day. So we called and to our surprise, the person who answered said yes. They dishonored their word because we were turned down at the restaurant.
