My fiance and I come here at least once every couple of months, and their concierge service has been fast declining. The guy "Alan" that runs the "waitlist" is rude and grumpy. We had been waited for a table for 2 for approx 20 mins, and after us was another table for 2 waiting. When a table that seats 4 became available, he skipped by us and offered it to the group of 4, without even acknowledging us. This place has a lot of seats, and I think that we should have been offered the table first, since we did arrive about 15-20 minutes before the group of 4. We ended up sitting at the end of an 8 person table that had another couple at the other end 20 minutes later! So really, the group of 4 could have sat at our table no problem, and waited their turn like in any other restaurant.
The servers/waiters are great, so if you bear through the painful wait at the entrance, the food makes it somewhat worth the wait.
This place would be so much better if they had some at the entrance with some CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.

You can't beat the value at Robson Sushi! I admit the service isn't always stellar, but the food is yummy (the chicken teryaki and tonkatsu are my favourite amongst all the sushi places I've tried) and the pricing is great!! I like the casual atmosphere, quick food service and close vicinity to where we live.

My only major disappointment was the service after the meal. There were 5 of us in the party and myself and 1 other friend had to leave earlier. We went up to the bar to pay. We explained to the server that we were paying for ourselves and 1 other girl (still at the table) as it was her birthday. I later found out that when the remaining 3 friends went to pay, the birthday girl specifically asked two times if we had paid. (She had guessed that we were treating her). The server informed her that we had paid for ourselves, then proceeded to charge them for ALL 3 people. (We checked, and it was easy to find out it was the same person helping them as there were only 2 employees in the restaurant at the time).
I called quite upset afterwards, and the guy on the phone had the nerve to imply that it was my friends fault for not informing them that 1 person was already paid for!! The server should have easily remembered that we had already paid for 1 extra person! He was just hoping we wouldn't notice so he could get a nice big STOLEN tip.
