The entree's were good. The Appetizers were a rip off
Submitted Sunday, August 26, 2012 - 1:10am [Dine in]

Went to the PNE tonight with 3 of my friends and after leaving the PNE we decided to come here.

Upon arriving at the restaurant it was almost empty (it was about 9:30 or 10:00 and PNE was going on, so it wasn't a bad sign actually)

Anyhow, we were greeted and told by the waitress that we could sit anywhere we would like. The restaurant had a good feel and was clean. The waitress was friendly and brought our menus and gave us enough time to look at the menu.

I had decided to order chicken strips appetizer (with no side dish) The waitress asked me if I wanted fries and I asked if it would be cheaper without fries and she said it would be. and for entree ordered fettucini alfredo with chicken breast. 2 friends got hamburger with salad and the other friend got pulled pork burger with salad.

Anyhow, my appetizer came first. Poor excuse paid $6.95 for 4 or 5 pieces of poor sized chicken strips (Well I thought it would be less than $6.95 since I got no fries) I was afraid my entree would be small too, so asked the waitress to bring me some fries too.

Then came our Entrees. To my surprise the fettucini with chicken breast was a good sized and filling (I ended up not eating the fries that I had ordered with my chicken strips) My friends all reported that thier food was fantastic.

Anyhow, the bill then came and I see that I was charged for a side order of fries. I asked the waitrss about that thinking for $6.95 I got Chicken Strips and fries and she then told me no, and that side orders were exra (Goodness, I paid $10.50 for that poor excuse of a chicken strips and fries appetizer? NOT WORTH IT....Was dissapointed)

Anyhow, the entrees saved the day....we enjoyed the entrees and the feel of the restaurant and we will return.....but NEVER get an appetizer

Not bad, but could be a little better
Submitted Friday, June 22, 2012 - 9:31am [Dine in]

Came here with a couple of friends of mine. I had the all you can eat fish and chips special and also ordered the 4 shrimps for $2.99. my one friend ordered the lightely battered salmon with french fries and onion rings, and the other friend just ordered french fries.

When we came in, there was only one other seat that was being occupied (we were of course seated immediatly) We did notice, that there was cutlery missing when our food arrived, but our waitress did bring cutlery as soon as we told her that there wasn't any. The service wasn't as great as it is in the North Vancouver location. I had to flag down my waitress everytime I wanted a refill of Fish and chips and seeing how it wasn't busy at all, she could had checked up a little more often.

Anyhow.....for the price we paid for fish and chips I can't really complain (You get what you pay for) I did enjoy it, it was good fish and chips after all (and so was the shrimp) but I noticed that they don't put alot of fries on your plate like they do in North Vancouver. Even when I asked my waitress to put more fries the 2nd time around, I noticed fries were still lacking. My friend couldn't finish the Salmon, so I tried some and have to say that it tasted (REALLY good)

This place isn't too bad....We will come back, but the service definatly can be a little bit better

Good, but expected better from Milestones
Submitted Friday, June 8, 2012 - 11:04pm [Dine in]

Came here tonight with a friend of mine for dinner. I usually never leave a Milestones feeling dissapointed, but today, well, I can't say I was too dissapointed, but was a little bit.

Anyhow, I had ordered my usual double cheeseburger and to drink I had a Shirley Temple, and my friend had the chicken Portabella and a Bellini. For appetizer, we had the chicken wings with Chipotle Mayo.

I was dissapointed when we recieved our order of 7 pieces of chicken wings. Normally we get no less than 9, but often get somewhere between 10-12 pieces. The waiter told me that they had changed some stuff on the menu.....Geee....Thanks, $11 for that.

So about 10-15 minutes later, our entrees arrive.....no problems there, food tasted fantastic as always. The waiter then came by and asked me if I wanted a refill on my Shirley Temple, to which I accpeted.

Our Bill then arrives, and I see that I was charged for 2 Shirley Temples (are refills not free?:) I didn't think they were free, but then why would he ask me if I want a refill and not tell me that it is not classified as soda pop? Anyhow, I aksed him about this, and he just responded "Sorry, they are not"

So then my friend and I just stayed and talked for about 5 minutes before paying the bill and left.

Anyhow, it's not too bad here.....we will return for sure, as we have had many great visits to this Milestones and others, but come on....those wings were a joke (Never again) AND let customers know if a drink is not refillable.....obviously alchohol isn't, but sometimes Shirley Temples are (even if it's rare)

Not bad, but I have had better
Submitted Tuesday, June 5, 2012 - 9:56pm [Dine in]

I'm usually afraid eat at Boston Pizza, as normally I have only had good experience with thier appetizers. Anyhow, I took a friend out for her birthday, and since it was her birthday I told her that she should decide where we go.....AND she said she was in the mood for pasta, and wanted to go to Boston Pizza....I was a little scared, because last time I had pasta at Boston Pizza, I was truly dissapointed.

Anyhow, today was Pasta, and I didn't really want to spend my usual $20 on Wings, so decided to take a chance and try thier pasta. I ordered the fettucini alfredo, and my friend had the cheese ravioli.

Unlike last time, this time my pasta actually had flavour. I did like it to be honest, but it's not the best pasta I have had, but didn't mind it too much.....for the $6.95 that I paid, I would say it was a good deal. Also tried a little bit of my friends ravioli and I liked that as well.

The service was pretty good. Our waitress was great and friendly. I would give her between 3-4 out of 5.

Anyhow, we left satisfied enough......It's worth coming on Tuesdays for cheap pasta, but you could probably find better pasta elsewhere

Submitted Sunday, May 27, 2012 - 10:58pm [Dine in]

Came in last week before work, and I had decided to try thier fish and chips. Upon arriving the restaurant looked a little empty (but that's ok) I was seated immediatly. I had ordered a lemondade to drink and for lunch, I had ordered the fish and chips (ordered an extra piece of fish, as I find it delicious) and used chipotle Mayo for my fish and fries......Food took a little long to get to my table, but it was incredible food. The fish was nice and soft in texture and VERY flavourful.....It was a very delicious meal. I am impressed with how well they made thier fish and chips taste....it was just terrific

The service was great....had small talk as well with my waitress who was friendly.....

I just wish that when they show kick boxing, that they would change the channel (at least the other Red Robin's restaurants do when a patron asks) but fortunatly, there was no kick boxing on this time

Excellent Mother's day meal
Submitted Monday, May 14, 2012 - 12:01pm [Dine in]

Brought mother here yesterday for Mother's day....we came by at around 7:30 in order to avoid Mothers Day rush, but turns out as our waiter told us later, that it wasn't busy this year due to the nice weather, and that people opted to have a BBQ at thier house for thier mothers......but anyhow

We were seated right away, Mom had ordered the mushroom burgers, fries and to drink she had decided to get a coke. I got the double double burger, fries and cranberry soda to drink. Our food came about 10 minutes later.....Oh my goodness, honestly, this place has one of the best burgers, and I felt like "Wow, this food is fantastic" Mom enjoyed her food as well. I of course have been to White Spot many times, but keep forgetting how good it actually is and always end up at Red Robin....

Anyhow, I think I will be visiting White Spot alot more often, as they have fantastiic food, and it was a great Mothers day

Submitted Saturday, March 3, 2012 - 11:51pm [Dine in]

Came with a friend of mine tonight, I ordered a Calamari appetizer with "tarama" (fish roe) and my friend had the dinner with salad. When we went in we were seated immediatly....it was a nice cozy feeling in the restaurant dim with nice lighting, it was very clean.

When our food came out we were pleasantly surprised, this was the best calamari we have ever had (lightly battered and full of flavour) and we have been to several Greek restaurant (and this by far had *THE BEST* Calamari.) the bread was nice and soft as well. I was dissapointed though that they didn't have a side order of french fries on thier menu....it would had been the perfect meal (but we went to McDonald's later to have our fix on fries)

Our waitress was attentive for the most part. I had to flag her down once, but that's ok.

Really though, it was great food and service and I am happy we came

Great Birthday Night Out
Submitted Saturday, January 7, 2012 - 11:39am [Dine in]

I patron Red Robin quite frequently as they have good food and good service.

I went yesterday with a friend of mine yesterday for my birthday. I had a double burger with fries, and I can't remember what she had...I guess I wasn't really paying attention to what she had, but she said it was good, and of course as usual, my double burger and fries were fantastic.

Anyhow....I had a free birthday coupon because I joined thier E-Birthday club. so I was given a free burger entree....too bad though they still charged me for the extra patty, but eh.

Anyhow, as Red Robin's is famous for....they came to our table with a FANTASIC ice cream dessert and they heard that I had a birthday (this was before I gave them my coupon...guess my friend told them) I used to think it was ultra lame that sang the birthday song at thier establishment, but I guess now that it finally happened to me, I realize and felt, that a simple gesture like that really can make a birthday even more special.

Anyhow, they had about 4-5 waiters / waitresses came to our table with the dessert, and told me that they heard it was my birthday and asked if I would like to stand up on the seat. At first I was thinking "Oh no, they're going to sing that stupid song" , but agreed to get up. However, once I got up and they started singing I was thinking "wow, this is great.....it does make me feel special"

Thank you Red Robin for a terrific free birthday meal (well except for the charge of the extra patty).....singing that birthday song for me which made me feel great, and for the final touch the delicious ice cream dessert

Thank you so much. It was a birthday that I will never forget

Came here late last night with a friend of mine......All I can say is that is definatly is not one of the best sushi places to go to.....it is too pricy (I mean $4.25 for a spinach gomae) The sushi wasn't really anything to write home about. The service sucked too (probably because we were the only caucasians in there) the couple next to us came after we did and thier food came like just a couple minutes after ours (and they had alot more food than we did) It just didn't cut it

We won't be back

Good food, but a little too pricy
Submitted Sunday, December 4, 2011 - 6:16pm [Dine in]

It has been quite a few years since I have eaten at a Cactus Club. The only reason I decided to go was cause my friend had just gotten her drivers licence and we went to celebrate 2 weeks ago.

The burger and fries that I ordered definatly were fresh and tasted that it had fresh ingridients in the burger (unlike those frozen patties you would get at a Denny's or IHOP)

The food was yummy, but it was a little expensive, but I guess with better quality foods, I should be prepared to pay a little more

I don't mind coming back again, it was good food and good times, just a little too pricy

It was a few months ago that I came here. I had come with my parents, as well as my sister-in laws father.

The service was what one would expect.

For food. It was good. I had ordered a chicken burger with fries and lemonade. My mother had the BBQ ribs and chicken. Can't remember what my sister - in laws father nor what my father had. But I do remember that my sister - in laws father and I shared an appetizer of Cripsy dry ribs as well (which was really good)

My food was delicious...chicken is a little dry, but itherwise pretty tasty and the fries are good too. I had tried some of my mothers BBQ ribs which were fantastic (and wished that I ended up ordering that...though my burger was good)

We all agreed that it was terrific and hopefully will be back again

Submitted Sunday, November 6, 2011 - 12:34am [Dine in]

Went out today for a friends birthday. We had gone bowling, and then we were supposed to go to Boston Pizza, but my friend neglected to make reservations, so they told us it would be an hour wait and alot of people didn't want to wait, so since none of the other people drive (there were about 12-15 people I think) we kind of were stuck and had to go to Burger King for a birthday party (Yes, I was pretty dissapointed at first)

I had preceeded to order, and I ordered alot of food. a Quad stacker, fries, coke and two 6 piece of chicken nuggets. I had never tried thier stacker sauce before and asked the cashier if I could have a little bit of a sample.....he told me that they were not allowed to give tiny samples of bloody sauces (of course I argueed with him and demanded to talk to a manger) I mean WTF? I mean, who doesn't give a tiny sample of bloody sauce to sample? anyhow, I talked to the manager and he offered me some (don't know if it was because I made a stink about it) but anyhow, I liked it.

We then all sat down, ate, laughed, enjoyed ourselves and left.

I guess it wasn't the ideal place, but none the less had fun even for our ages (25-35) I had written a review about another restaurant we went to 2 years ago for the same guys birthday (Swiss Chalet) which was horrible, and I mentioned that we would have had a better time dinning at Wendy's....Guess I wasn't sarcastic when I said that after all, as we all had a better time here that we did at Swiss Chalet 2 years ago.

It is very rare that I leave a Red Robins restaurant dissapointed (but it does happen on a rare ocassion)

I have been patroning at Red Robins for a few years now and I don't really need to talk much about the food, I am really impressed with thier good food (Ok, it's not gourmet or anything, but it is really good and well worth it for the clientel they serve)

Anyhow, on one of my recent visits, I had come for a friends birthday party, and I ordered my usual double burger and fries. Didn't take too long for our food to arrive. When the waitress was bringing my food she accidently tripped a little and my burger had fallen, but she caught it. She then told me she would get me another burger. I told her not to be ridicoulous and that I had no problem and would eat it. She then told me that while catching it she poked her finger a little bit in the bun (again I told her not to worry and it was only a burger bun and I am sure it's fine) She then told me that my burger was on the house (Free)

I would assume that most restaurants would take advantage of the situation and just say "ok, thanks" Red Robin however didn't charge me for thier burger (even though it was a perfectly good burger. I admire thioer excellent customer service.

I've also tried thier fish items, wings and cheese sticks which all taste good.....I wish maybe the cheese sticks could be bigger, but I guess now with the price of cheese it is almost worth the same as gold (LOL)

Anyhow.....Great Job Red Robin.....Will be patroning alot

Always Excellent Food and Service
Submitted Friday, November 4, 2011 - 12:50pm [Dine in]

I have yet to be dissapointed with this location. I always leave happy regardless, and the service that I recieved was great....read on...praise and recognition is overdue, but really wanted to show my gratitute for the service I recieved (better late then never I guess)

I came by with 2 friends. I had a double hamburger and fettucini. My other friend had the Portobella chicken, and I think my other friend had a hamburger. The food here has always tasted good (The fries are over-cooked on occasion but when I told the waiter or waitress , they immediatly bring me another order) It it was really busy and out waiter did mention to us in advanced that it would be a half hour wait for our food since it was busy and they were short one cook.

Thier customer service is phenominal. I had brought in my digital camara, and left it on the table and I guess that being busy with friends I forgot all about it. The next day I realize that my camara is missing and called Milestone's and they said that they did have it (what a relief!) however, when I got there my camara was not there and I was just expecting the managment to say "Sorry" but instead she said to me "Here is my business card, what I want you to do, is go out and buy another camara and we will pay for it" I was just in awe....I never expected service that great.....when I got home my friend ended up calling to tell me that she had put my camara in her purse when I went to use the washroom, so then I called back to tell them Thank you for the offer, but my camara has now been found.....But because of this kind gesture on thier part, I have been having the majority of my parties at Milestones just to say Thank you.

Can't really complain
Submitted Tuesday, October 11, 2011 - 1:14am [Dine in]

I have come here several times with friends for drinks. Tonight I had decided to come with a friend for 19 cents (yes, 19 cents wing Mondays....all you have to do, is buy a beverage)

For beverage my friend had a beer, and I had a Shirley Temple and we ordered wings.....My friend had onion rings as well, and I had french fries

Anyhow, for the food (the wings) they were ok (breaded though) so not as good as you would get at Earl's or Cactus Club (but for 19 cents per wing why complain.....they weren't bad) on Mondays when they sell them for 19 cents you have to buy your sauces seperatly (75 cents each) but really, the wings were ok, not great but ok, but well worth the price for sure on a Monday (french fries were good too, and friend liked onion rings)

I'll come back and try another entree (looks cheap on the menu) and get fewer wings as an appetizer (but only on a Monday)

Service was great....I got a free refill on my Shirley Temple, and when I told the waitress that I didn't like the sauce that I ordered, she told me she would let me choose another flavour for free.....Thank you

It's really only average
Submitted Sunday, October 9, 2011 - 11:01pm [Dine in]

It was my first visit to this establishment tonight. I had come with a friend. I had ordered a chicken burger with fries, and she ordered a mushroom cap for appetizer and pizza for dinner. for beverage I had a shirley temple and had a dark coloured beer.

The waitress was very attentive, and told us that it would take longer to cook the pizza, so gave us the option of asking me if she wanted me to put my order in later, and I told her that would be great if she put my order in later.

My friends mushroom caps arrive...she reported to me thta they tasted good.

Then our food comes. I had asked the waitress if the size of a chicken burger was 7 oz like the burger and she told me it was the same size. but when I got my chicken burger, it was not that big...I told her that I was expecting a bigger sized chicken breast and I think a burger is bigger than this (it had to be) she apologized, and offered to get me something else (twice....I.E. are you sure you you're ok and don't want something else instead?) so I was happy about that. Taste wise it was a good chicken burger but the bun was too big for the size of my meat....the fries were good. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised that my chicken breat was small, since that is the size I have gotten at Milestones, White Spot and Red Robin

The pizza tasted good (really cheesy actually) my friend gave me two slices we both agreed that it was good pizza.

It's a little pricy, but eh

Really, it was only average, but we will return

Food was good, but found portion size small
Submitted Monday, October 3, 2011 - 8:10pm [Dine in]

Came here on Saturday night with a friend of mine before going to the movie theatre. We ordered chicken wings for appetizer, and for dinner I had ordered fettucini alfredo, and she ordered a quesadilla plate. We were seated almost immediatly (given that we accepted the high tables, and why not? it was great seating) the wings came, and they were pretty good (but they should be for $1 per wing...definatly small for the price) then our main course came....we both liked our food (it was delicious) but I found my portion of fettucini to be small for $12.50 (just had noodles and alfredo sauce) my friend reported that her quesadilla was good.

Our waitress was friendly and all, she asked us how we liked our food and I was honest when I said that the food tasted great, but portion was too small (she didn't really have much to say)

It was a fun night and experience. I am sure I will come back again at some point, but not too soon

A friend of mine who I haven't seen in almost a year and a hlaf came into town, and we were trying to decide where to go and eat. For some odd reason for many years, we had made Denny's our *Special* place (go figure) but after having had worked at Denny's, and thinking it would be nice to try something different, we drove around and decided to come here since she has never been, and I have only been once.

I had the dry ribs and a double cheeseburger, and she had a guacamole burger. To be honest, we did enjoy the food. I believe the burgers were grilled. I can't say that I didn't like it, or left dissapointed, but the truth is, that more seniors probably would enjoy this place rather than people in thier very early 30's.

The service was just ok....nothing to brag about, but I do like how they give you re-fillable fries and ever thier JUICE is re-fillable

I would be happy to come back, but not going to rush it

The appetizers were great....the food?
Submitted Monday, July 25, 2011 - 11:27am [Dine in]

Took a friend of mine here for her birthday. We had a great time, the service was great. I had a double cheeseburger with fries, she had a chicken salad, and we both shared a double order of wings. I must say that the double burger was HUGE, but it didn't taste good like it does at most other restuarants....the chipotle mayo there was a joke and a half. We did enjoy the wings very much. Last time I went to a Boston Pizza I had thier tasteless fettucini alfredo, but at least the burger had flavour (even though it wasn't good)

So I guess I will stick to thier appetizers.
