The food was tasty enough, although not plentiful and tended to add up price-wise. I am a great fan of African food, but my high expectations were not met. Ambience is ridiculous--unless you like the roadside 70's diner feel...
The food is very good--Mexican themed rather than purely Mexican, not unlike what Vij's is to Indian food. Service has always been outstanding and friendly. I add to the voices disappointed by the incredibly cramped quarters. Nevertheless I enjoy the feel of the space but need about 10-20% more room to feel comfortable.
I quite enjoyed the feast platter--a nice variety of tasty food. Some of the other dishes served at my table were hit and miss. Service was attentive and prompt. Ambience was interesting. The seating arrangements are novel, however it's a bit dreary to know your in a concrete basement with food that would best be enjoyed outside.
The food was tasty and adequate but forgettable. Service was prompt but slightly overbearing. Live music was very good. Ambience was good, with lovely views, however the room lacked intimacy. Felt in need of updating.
Exceptionally good sushi and sashimi--possibly the best I've had. The tempura is passable. All staff go out of there way to be friendly. Not prompt with the bill. Ambience is crowded, echoey and plain.
Under new management in the location of a former Indian restaurant, the quality and variety of the lunch-time buffet is outstanding. Food is hot and fresh and very tasty. The a la carte menu is equally pleasing. Has stolen my business from the neighbouring GM. Service is prompt but invisible. Vegetable and goat dishes are exceptionally well done.
based on only one visit I don't feel well-qualified to comment on food quality. What I had I found perfectly adequate. The service was generally very conscientious with only hints of youthful insouciance. I thought the space was very attractive and intend to revisit.
wonderfully flavourful, appropriately cheese laden, delicious crust. Brought back memories of generic 1970's style pizzerias. I have no comment on the ambience since I have only had delivery, however i keep re-ordering, since the toppings are generous and tasty.
After an absence of several years, I was pleasantly surprised on a revisit to Andales. The food is much improved, and I very much enjoyed the taste. It is not outstanding, however. The service was appropriately invisible, and the ambience is appropriate. I intend to revisit and may yet change my food ranking to 4.
I found the food quite good. Pricing was was appropriate altho you don't feel like you're getting a bargain. Service was good. Ambience is too stark for my taste. It's fine enough as a quick midday stopover, but has the hard echoey feel of a bakery. The crepes themselves are well worth the look and like the other reviewers, I agree that they are superior to the competition.
I found the food tasty, well-presented, and adequately sized. The service was v good: friendly but discreet. Quite a good atmosphere after dark. The patio is great on sunny days. Not the end-all in west-end dining, but definitely worth the money.
Awesome food. Nice sunny, Mexican atmosphere. Every time I go I feel like slowing life down and taking the rest of the day off. Staff is consistently friendly. Definitely not fine dining, but ambience is appropriate.
food is consistently good. Ask for an 11 on the scale of 1-10 if you like hot food. Service can be deplorably slow, I have waited over an hour for food after ordering... Not recommended for lunch for this reason
