Cheap eat but poor service
Submitted Sunday, November 22, 2009 - 10:03pm [Dine in]

We went there for lunch several times and once for dinner. Lunch is cheap and is a good deal. But the service needs much improvement. A few times we had to wait for a long time before someone came and took our order. I think they are purely understaffed. Last Sunday when we went for lunch, we almost have to help ourselves to get what we need, since no one is paying attention to us. We order 7 dishes and after almost half an hour, the waitress asked if all the dishes have arrived. We told them we're still missing a congee and a rice. She told us we didn't order rice. We had to go thro' the order one by one with her to figure things out. I wouldn't go back again if I have a choice.

It never disappoints us

My family goes to this restaurant once in a while, and the service has always been good. All the waitresses are super friendly (which is kind of rare in Chinese restaurants). They even remembered that my mom would prefer to have hot water rather than tea the last two times we dined there. Their food is solid, and we don't have to wait long for the food to show up on the table. Their Hainanese Chicken and green beans are excellent, though the other dishes are also pretty good. The portions are quite generous making it a very good deal for a decent dinner. We have used their take out and delivery service which were equally good.

I discovered this place rather accidentally. Unlike other bubble tea place that uses powder to make bubble tea, they use real fruit, and lots of them in the tea, and the price is $3.50 with or without pearls. The owner even show us the fruit she uses which is very fresh (during summer... otherwise it has to be frozen fruit). It's unbelievable! My family keeps coming back to this place. We try passion fruit once and there was half a passion fruit inside.. given the price of buying fresh passion fruit, it's a real deal!

Good Dim Sum place
Submitted Saturday, March 22, 2008 - 6:52pm [Dine in]

This is a new restaurant but owner is from another restaurant and he retained most of the original crew from Silver Palace. I find the food better than the old restaurant, and the service is good. The har kow is probably the biggest in town. I will recommend to anyone who wants a decent restaurant for Dim Sum in that area. I was told that dinner is also good. My neighbour went there few times a week. I have yet to try it.

Consistently good

I have been to this restaurants several times during the past year. I really enjoyed the food there. I brought a friend with me the last time and they enjoyed it so much that they took their business card away. The owner and the waitresses are very pleasant, except the restaurant tends to be understaffed and therefore slow to respond. I particularly enjoyed their seafood soup. I ordered it every time and it's consistently good. Price is very reasonable.
