Been into this place twice now, it's just off of broadway on granville, down the hill a bit. Had a hard time finding it first time around, but the food and drinks are off the hook, and I've been telling everybody I can ever since. The room is very quiet, jazz and old standards playing, and the guys seem bent on showing off the classics! Roast chicken with morels and rice was my fave last time, but the Sidecars and Manhattens are to die for! My new fave in South Gran.
I know its only fifteen minutes from home and you're not supposed to like someone more just because of accessability. But this restaurant is so convenient for our group, the service is marvelous, the food is always good and the room is very nice. Close, good, what more can you ask for.
The food here was great and it is next to a nice little bookstore and a nice place to get cheese. There are also fancy car dealers on that road and apparently an everyman for himself attitude when it comes to driving. Maniacs. The only problem I had was that I had the feeling the fruit in my waffle (yes, a stuffed waffle) was canned or processed in some way and I thought it would be better with fresh fruit.
The girls decided to go out for a glass of wine and some food before the stanley, and ended up spending almost a thousand dollars? I'm not sure how that happened, and the food was very good, but our waitress seemed clueless and distant like something was happening behind the scenes we didn't know about, and with drinks flowing, and the restaurant fairly busy, you would think that they would keep the bathroom more tidy.
VERY nice food, poor service, dirty bathroom.
Sitting across from the park on commercial is a nice way to spend an afternoon, but not when you have to look at the world crooked, through a split drink and 2 peoples dogs menacing at one another.... my fries were ok, but the garnish of a full police raid across the street left a little to be desired. Overworked, uncaring staff don't help. But my drink was cold.
This restaurant is the talk of the town, and I swung in with friends last week and had a three course dinner. The prices are very low for this calibur of food, but the portions are small so you can see they are trying to reach a broad market. The menu is a little confused, with dishes ranging from crazy gourmet to stuff that reminds me of old cactus club, but Im sure theyre just trying to appeal to the neighborhood. Good deal, great food, service lacked something. Try it out!
At a friends and ordered here. The pie was hot, the pop was cold, the pepperoni was plentiful...the cheese toast is really good! If and when I decide to return to Maple Ridge, I will definatly return to this cute little pizza shop.
After an earful about the amazing food, and the see and be seen crowd, I've been twice now with mixed results. The room is very hip, but the service lacked a little, and the food was really great the first time, and fair/poor the second. Inconsistant, but good.
