Great place to go and watch the game, to go for lunch sit on the patio and people watch, fun place to take friends to drink all night, excellent food to go for dinner or late night snack.
I have tried several items there and never been disappointed. Ive tried the bucket of shrimp, house salad, the tuna salad...all were great. My friends had the lobster wings, burgers and the mac and cheese and were all happy. The mojitos are super good as well!!!!
There is always a line up to get in here, which is a very good sign.
The atmosphere is great for groups or just a date.
The food is unbelievable, sushimi is so fresh, rolls are decorated beautifully, the presentation is great on everything.
Drink menu is large....lots of different cocktails, shooters, beers and sake to choose from.
Service is a little slow, but if you are with good company who cares.
Great place to take someone from out of town. Its hidden away, but worth the extra walk or cab ride.
We started with the ostrich appy...soooo good!!! We split the Artic char, best rissoto I have ever tried! For dessert I had the dairy free sorbet and my date had the cheesecake.
Best meal I have had in years. Service was excellent. Definetly suggest to go there...with friends, romantic date, or special occasion.
OK, so I ww=ent here about 3 years ago for the 1st time, I remembered the piano player and the food was too die for, very romantic.
I ended up moving downtown this summer (09) and saw the view of their patio from my balcony so I had to check it out again.
Went there twice during the daytime in summer and sat on the patio. It was always busy, the service was unbelievable and the food was fresh and so good!!! Went there on an evening one night and they had to shut off the music around 10pm on the patio...very lame. Also the crowd is older (40's) ....but still wouldnt stop me from going for a few drinks and sitting at the bar and ordering appies or having a romantic dinner.
went there for Tast of Yaletown...there was 7 of us. I am a vegan (but do eat fish but no meat or dairy), so I did not have the 3 course meal...I had the beet salad (no cheese) and prawns...so goood!!! the waiter was very helpful and very prompt. the rest of my party had the 3 course menu and they were all satisfied with what they had.
Would def suggest this place again.
Went there before the Pearl Jam concert. Wasnt as busy as I thought it would be, actually was pretty dead.
There was 4 of us, so we just ordered tapas. The hummus is to die for. Olives are very yummy as well as the tartar, spinach and bean salad was very good...everything is so fresh and tasted wonderful.
Service was good.
Great place for a date or with a big group of friends.
Nothing even close to being compared with Cactus and Earls. The food is previously frozen, packaged or processed. I order a garden salad with salmon and it looked like the bagged lettuce from safeway, the leaved were brown, salmon was greasy, no presentation, no fresh veggies.
Will never go back to Milestones. Earles and Cactus are way better!
Great place to go for drinks. Guaranteed it will be busy, lively atmosphere, the patio is nice and the lounge area is sleek and trendy.
Food is not so good. Had the salmon salad, the potatoes and salmon were super greasy and just didnt seem fresh. Dont have many vegetarian dishes that are healthy.
Never been to the old Coast before so not sure how to compare it. The atmosphere here is so nice. They have a seperate lounge area, huge circle bar in the middle of the restaurant and tables all over, and a secound level. This place is always busy no matter what day or time I go. I love sitting at the bar. The service is great. Food is very good!!!!
Great place for a date or group of friends. Not very romantic though, but you definatly would have a good time.
In the summer the patio is rocking!!! Its so nice!! The ambiance is great, the view and the service is unbelievable. The hostess can check your coats and umbrella.
I have only had drinks here. The lounge area is super nice, classy and elegant. I love the single washrooms. you get served spiced almonds even if your not ordering food,
Drinks are moderatly priced.
I went there starving, thank god there was no line up (usually is a wait), I dont eat meat but do eat fish....nothing I can eat on the menu. They have no fish or vegetarian dishes. Service wasnt that helpful, or prompt. So we had the chips and salsa that they serve (very tasty), salsa wasnt that good. Then ordered the guacamole, it was ok. Had a few drinks then went elsewhere to eat.
Ok place for lunch maybe, but I think Lolitas or Las Margaritas is way better if you want mexican.
Small little restaurant on Davie St. Its always busy, great atmosphere, and very good food. Sat at a small table, chatted with out neighbours. The waitress was super friendly. I had the Ensalada de Mexico, my friend had the ceviche. Both were so good, presentation is nice.
Great place for a date or a group of friends.
If a friend didnt take me here I wouldnt have no idea about it. The owner is super friendly and hospitable. Restaraunt is licenced, they have great expresso as well. Very casual place, perfect for lunch. The food is to die for! I had the warm spinach salad, so good! Prices are decent.
He is planning to expand...cant wait!!!!
