I should have knows the moment I walked into this place that I should have just turned around and left. You'd think you would get the aroma of some authentic italian food cooking as you enter the door but no. The 1st thing I could smell was the bathroom uninal cakes. After being seated by the waited who's face probably would have broken to pieces if he tried to smile I noticed the A/C was blasting on our table. We ordered our appies which took forever. When we asked why it was taking so long he said that our order was sent to another table...so... we waited 30 minutes for four little pieces of bruschetta. Afterthat we waited another hour and a half for our pasta that was over cooked and sticky. I took one bite and was done, I had already lost my appetite from the bad service. We were being polite about the experiece the whole time but not once did we recieve an appology. At the end of the meal we asked to speak to the owner who came over and instead of listening went right into offencive mode. That was that. We got up, walked out, and didn't pay. DO NOT GO HERE unless you want the worst food and service experience of your life.WOW that was BAD!

MMM is all I can say about the Pizza! It's just awesome! That's all I can say other than go there to find out for yourself. Nick is a stand up community guy too who coaches soccer. If you have a child that plays soccer, try to get him/her on his team for two reasons. 1) He's a very passionate coach who is in it for the benefit of the children to learn win or lose. 2) He brings food from the resturant sometimes!! hehe

I was looking for a place to grab some food (it was about 11pm) I didn't have a lot of time since I work graveyard so I walked into this place and the lady there crossed both of her arms over her head and said we crowsd. As I left the place I looked at their hours of operation and I noticed it said they were open until 11:30pm. So off I went. ON another night I decided to call them around 11:10 to see if I could drop by and get some sushi to go and they were open and what do ya know? I asked to make sure there was NO wasabe but after getting my order I had a nice blob of it in my order. I did get one of their menues and noticed that the hours of operation say M-Thurs open to 1am F-Sun open to 2am The sushi itself was ok so I ended up going there a few nights in a row. Then, tonight I go there at 11pm (a night they say they are open until 2am on the menu)and what do I get? The lady with the arms crossed over her head. If the manager ever reads this, please change the hours of opperation on your door and menu to " We really have no idea, whenever we feel like acting like we are on family fued" They've lost a customer cus they are a dime a dozen. Maybe if their food was outstanding I'd put up with crap like that. So sorry...NEXT!

I"ve been to this place several times both when staying at the hotel and when just looking for a place I know I will enjoy. I noticed some peole freaking out about the service and ambiance in a negative way? One person upset that they paid $3.00 for a bottle of ice tea? Yes you can get it from a vending machine for about $2.00 (or more) but the machine doesn't deliver it to your table and pour it for you so stop whining! The cost and service are great for what you get. If you were not happy then go to Gothams and get ready to put a second mortgage on your home for about the same thing. btw, I've just made a reservation for Griffins tonight. I hope Mr "ice" T isn't there.
A drunks dream pizza
Submitted Tuesday, November 28, 2006 - 1:49am [Dine in]
Pizza is pretty tasty but does seem to lack something, perhaps a sauce with a little more spice/taste. I love that they put sesame seeds on the crust, makes up for the no taste sauce. The selection is great. The service is poor but I guess since they mostly deal with the late night drunks what can I expect. I work graveyard and late night is the only time I go to this place. I would guess the service might be better in the day time?
Please wait (Forever) to be seated

My wife and I went out for some food and a beer and as soon as we walked in we noticed everyone (all 6 people) was up at the bar and that most of the tables were empty. We were hoping for a place that wasn't so empty. We stood there waiting to be seated but not even one waitress looked to notice that there were peole standing waiting to be served. After standing there for about 5 minutes we decided to walk over to the Cactus Club located right next to Sammy J's. As soon as we walked in we looked at each other and said, oh, this is where everyone is. My wife commented that it was probably because they were all tired of waiting to be seated at Sammy J's so they came to the Cactus Club. I commented that if the owner knew just how much business he was losing because of his lazy staff that he would be crazy not to fire everyone that worked there that night. I use to like Sammy J's but they've lost me as a customer now.
Goes to show what winning the lotter will do

Not a lot will winning a lottery do. You would think that with teh money comeing into this place and the money won from the lotteries that they might put a little more pride into the place. I just didn't feel comfortable in this place. Everything was cheap except for the prices. I guess the owner is too busy spending his lottery winnings on vacations leaving got knows who to run the place, but what does he care about the customer, he's rich and that's all that seems to matter to him. I'll pay a good price for good foor, but wont pay a forture for umm, what is that you just served me anyway? Did I order that? MMM got to love that freezer burn taste
Just go there!

I can not say enough good things about the food at Apollonia! There were six of us dinning and we all had something different. After seeing and smelling all the food I wanted to ask my server to just bring me another order of everything to go! All I can say is just go there and find out for yourself how tasty food can be. Your tastebuds will thank you for it.
A Pizza with flying colours!

I love Pizza. Though I usualy like the traditional styles of pizza I thought I would give the wedge a try. The wedge always has something interesting to try that is for sure. Sometimes I think the staff is smoking a few too many, get the munchies and come up with some farout styles of pizza. Pine nuts on pizza??? well, sure why not I guess but I'll stick to the others. I think what might seem outrageous to someone like me would be a god send for a vegitarian who is tired of the traditional "veggie" pizza, this sure gives them some variety while at the same time giving a guy like me some new flavors to experiemt with! Keep it up the great taste!
Spice it up

I had to try this pizza after hearing about it from Brother Jake on Rock 101. Well I tried it and thought the little ball of crust they put in the middle of the pizza was cute, however my tastebuds know flavor, not cute. Thought the crust is hand made and herbs are added I found it to be dry and tastless. It would almost seem that no matter what kind of pizza you order it will still taste the same. They need to work on producing a pizza where each bite you take takes on a new flavor when you have lots of toppings. I could get a pizza from Bella with everything or with just cheese, and to taste it I would know the diff.
