Joey's always offers an extremely high quality guest experience. Their strongest point is the consistent tasty food, quality service, and good atmosphere. I rate this restaurant heads above other moderately priced 3 ring binder style eateries, such as Moxies, Earls, Milestones, Browns etc...
Joey's does not offer baby, or child seating in their restaurant. Kids are great. But, I appreciate the calm dining experience this policy creates. Joey's belinis are fantastic, as are their desserts. Servers are highly trained and round out the experience nicely. Great for lunch or dinner.
Downside? There can be a long wait for tables during busy hours.
In the mood for Great Indian food? This place is it! Taste of Punjab offer many Veg and Non-veg options. The owners are very personable and run the restaurant well. Dining in is enjoyable and Take out is always great. We love ordering many of their dishes, such as: Paneer Makhani, Saag Paneer, Naan, Samosas, Pakora, Chana, Daal, and Lamb Tikka Masala. We also like that their jamine rice is scented with saffron. Close to a skytrain as well.
Dropped into Ya Ya's after surveying the area for good eats. The menu was very appealing. Lots of delicious seafood options. Our meals were all excellent. Our table ordered the Ya Ya baked oysters platter. Salt Spring Island mussels, fish n chips(we chose yam fries), Seafood curry fettuccine and a Chicken Ceasar salad. For dessert we tried Creme Brulee, and the day's special: homemade chocolate cheesecake. Everything we tried was excellent and skillfully prepared. Definitely my choice for best restaurant in Horseshoe bay.
Delicious Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The Diner-style menu is skillfully executed. The service is friendly and fast. They offer homemade muffins, scones, soup, thick sliced bread, etc... Lots of options for everyone, including vegetarians (they even have soy milk for your coffee), plus its in an old Penitentiary!
