Good Food and Decent Value
Submitted Thursday, March 8, 2007 - 5:08pm [Dine in]

Was introduced to this place from my brother in law. The menu is simple and offers little variety however the price point is quite reasonable. The majority of the appies ( or tapas share plates ) were small but the braised ribs were magnificient. Beef tenderloin was made to rare perfection and the desserts were delicious. Service was hit and miss. The waiting staff there I assume consist of the 2 females and one server with the glasses who seems very attentive. Akward seating but then again its a small place. All in all, very good value and pretty good wine selection.

Great Casual Dining

Overall, Joeys in my opinion is an Uscale Earls with Hot hot hot hostesses. Food was creative and tasty. Service could;ve been better. Ahi Tuna was comparable to a 5 star restaurant. Overall a great casual hang out with good food and attractive servers !

O my. Nothing new

The usual Thai dishes can be found here with the exception of some rare exceptions. Average service as I would recommend adding some more staff to cater to the guests. Our table and the table across from us had to wave down our waiter three times, once to add something to our order, the second time for water and the third time for the bill. Satay was chewy and quite dry compared to other Thai places in Vancouver but the Peanut sauce was quite tasty. Curry seemed a little too runny or watery for our tastes. Almost tasted like water with curry paste. Portions need to me a bit bigger as the dishes almost seem like a total of 5 table spoons per order.

Unprofessional and unclean
Submitted Monday, November 20, 2006 - 3:11pm [Dine in]

Not sure why there have been so many positive reviews about this place. Its a smaller joint on Denman street that offers the all the regular basic Thai dishes. Spring rolls were decent but their curry was too watered down with no flavour and entrees seemed to be too salty with too much fish sauce. Unfortunately the attitude of their servers are just as bad and arrognant. Will not repeat.

Great hangout

Being a regular at this place is kind of like Cheers. Alot of familiar faces and regulars at this Denman Street bar. Food is decent and could use some revamping but the servers are full of smiles ! Whether you;re here to meet with friends for drinks or with that special someone, this is a good place to hit !

Went to this place lastweek after seeing their coupon in the georgia straight. Great food and service. Place is a little crammed and their drinks seem watered down but bill was way cheap with our coupon. Dinner for 2 with 2 hiballs under $30 !
