Fish Shack, The1026 Granville Street, Vancouver
Another nice Seafood place
Submitted Wednesday, May 15, 2013 - 4:31pm [Dine in]

If you like seafood, you should try this place. It is nice place for a casual dining with friends or family. Prices are reasonable and menu is rich. Unfortunately, patio is small. There is a lot of friendly attendants. The cook is a nice guy and talented. I found the place a bit noisy but I was there during their peak time on Sunday evening. I tried Fish Shack for lunch as well and I liked it. Try their mussels or grilled fish.

Real Turk Döner Haus, The3271 West Broadway, Vancouver
Great for Donair Lovers
Submitted Sunday, March 31, 2013 - 8:43pm [Dine in]

They opened the place and became so popular in a short while. You usually need to line up for 10 minutes or so. If you like real Döner and if you think the prefabricated donair sucks in the city, this place will dash this problem.
The food is all about meat in the menu which is typical for this type of restaurants. The food variety is good but does not make sense who is not Turkish. So you need to ask what is inside to have a general idea. The taste is well above what you usually eat at similar type of places.

Dessert time
Submitted Monday, November 28, 2011 - 4:04am [Dine in]

When you enter, the dessert display is so mouth watering. It is always a busy place, even late night.
The dessert are usually not daily fresh and i always experience this. This is a big disadvantage for dessert restaurant. I wish they reduce the number of selections but keep them fresh all the time.

I am always happy with the service. Also, parking is so convenient and free.

I will visit more often when they convince me that I will always find daily made products.

Turks' food is nice
Submitted Friday, November 25, 2011 - 2:54am [Dine in]

I have been to Turkey before so I like their restaurant style food. I am saying restaurant style because they cook different at home but eat different foods at restaurants. It is a split eating culture.

I coincidentally found this place when driving on Kingsway. Although my favourite dish is not on their menu, they were OK to make it for me. I tried their customized meat lovers pide and I loved it. Also, I saw other customers were having fancy looking breads and they made it to order right there. I have to try it next time.

The ambiance is average, the place is clean and tidy. They cook right in front of you.
You better watch them making the bread there. It is fun but do not try at home because it is really difficult.

nice adopted indian food
Submitted Saturday, November 19, 2011 - 9:42pm [Dine in]

This place is only for lunch during weekdays. They have nice indian spiced foods. Since they are adopted for Canadian taste, people love them and wait long time in the lineups. Do not go for client meeting or something afterwards because you smell spice heavily even your clothes.

They also try to make a fusion shawarma and serve with curry and garlic yogurt. Unfortunately, I had uncooked shawarma plates for a few times because they were in rush during the busy lunch hours. That's why I decided not to eat it anymore.

I recommend their food if you like spiced and Indian hinted Canadian fastfood.
Note: I wish they serve faster.

good middle eastern food
Submitted Saturday, November 19, 2011 - 8:50pm [Dine in]

I have never been to Iran so I cannot compare it as a Persian food. But I like the taste and size of their skewers. This might be a big size for seniors so they can have your next meal with leftovers.
The ventilation is not enough and tables should be cleaned immediately after each customer.
This restaurant-supermarket place is a nice place to experience if you live close to this area.

Nice Oceanfront
Submitted Saturday, November 19, 2011 - 8:43pm [Dine in]

This place has a beautiful location. Even we didn't have a table near window, we were able to watch ocean and the ships.
The menu could have been better seafood selection. The food was nice. It is a good place to host your visitors with a good price.
having the valet service is also a great idea because it is difficult to find a parking spot there.
This restaurant can be excellent if they improve the look of the plates and renovate the furniture a bit.

good food but the service :(
Submitted Saturday, November 19, 2011 - 8:33pm [Take-out]

I love their food porn. The look is so attractive and appetizing.
The price for a sandwich is really high. If you also ask for side salad, the overall price you pay will be close to a dine out price. The quality of food is good.

The personnel usually treats you as if they are doing a favour to sell lunch.
Perhaps only location helps this place to be busy.

does not worth to wait 30-40 mins
Submitted Tuesday, February 10, 2009 - 11:00pm [Dine in]

The food was OK, I would like to taste it again but i am not passinate about it.
We were advised 15min to have a seat at 6pm on a weekday but it took almost 40 mins. so it was so annoying.
However, food was tasty and seats were comfy to enjoy supper.
I tried a combo and a california rolls plate. But each of us get served at different times so some of us had to watch others eating. I would recommend kalamari sushi.

Glad to find you on a snowy boxing day. Yummy
Food was very good, service is excellent except for I ordered spinach omelette but they brought spinach benny :) but so tasty
Bunch of free parking and nice maintained restaurant.
Coffee was fresh and good quality and cream is a good quality. Food was beautifully presented, and makes you more hungry, so be careful.
