Nice little place that's usually packed at lunch with people getting shawarma sandwiches and plates. The shawarma is great for what it is - spicy, salty, greasy chicken. Mmm.
The place is small and often busy, but the service is really friendly and the value for money is excellent. A nice guilty lunch (and dinner too, if you get the plate).
Went with my girlfriend and a Mexican fellow. Food was tasty (try the birria), and a nice change from the usual permutations of beans/rice/cheese/tortilla in most Vancouver restaurants. I can't claim to know "authentic" Mexican food particularly well, but the guy we were with said it was the best he'd found in Vancouver.
A little on the small side though - we had to wait a little for table. Still, worth checking out.
Reminded me a bit of Salsa & Agave, another nice (and again small) Mexican spot over on Pacific in Yaletown.
