Friendly staff but it took 30 minutes for the food, fish & chips, (not a special order) to arrive after ordering. Unfortunately, we were hungry and that made it worse. When food arrived, it was very ordinary: fries were good but not terrific, fish was soggy and really needed the tartar sauce. Used an entertainment coupon & was told that I needed the card, which I had. They do not like Entertainment coupons. Steveston has a number of places with better fish and chips; certainly not worth the drive and we will go elsewhere.
With or without Entertainment coupon, food and service is superior. I always order the Kota Souvla, (roast Chicken) and wife always orders one of the lamb dishes, (usually some debate as to which one). We can never finish the plates, just too much but it is lovely warmed up the next day.I honestly believe it is the best roast chicken that I have ever had. Just the right amount of spices on the skin and cooked thoroughly but not dry. Rest of the stuff on the plate is good but I am not a fan of rice or cucumbers. Wife loves hers eats my cucumbers. Wife thinks lamb is one of best she has eaten. Again, properly cooked and not overcooked. Buns are terrible; heaven knows where they get them. Service is good, not intrusive just gets the job done. Ambiance is a bit strange but tolerable. I don't go to a greek restaurant for the plastic flowers but for the roast chicken.
We were hungry and late. Went to Alice's Restaruant for Breakfast: We ordered two eggs, slice of ham, potatoes and toast. When it came it looked good, was well cooked, and tasted great. All for $4.49!! More than enough to eat, wife could not finish hers.As good as breakfast anywhere and 1/2 the price with good pleasant service. Easy to get to location.
Went with wife and I ordered turkey dinner with roast potatoes and she ordered turkey schnitzel with roast potatoes. Her roast potatoes were inedible and mine were only a bit better. She could not eat hers and I had trouble with mine. Server brought mashed potatoes, good but the gravy was packaged stuff.
Stick with the fries!
