We love Mediterranean and Indain food and had never had Persian food so didn't know what to expect when we were pleasantly surprised by Persepolis. We just came upon it looking for a place in North Vancouver to eat dinner. We had some of the best appetizers I've ever had, an eggplant dip that was excellent, I want the recipe! My husband had the Sirloin beef kebab which was a nice blending of the saffron and onion marinade. I had the beef stew with rice with fresh herbs and was very impressed as the meat was tender and well seasoned. The restaurant is chic and modern yet cozy and on a Saturday night, busy with live persian music which was also new to us. The service was great and charming.

We liked this place very much. The sushi was good and did not cost much. There was a good selection. The service was excellent and there were nice Japanese hangings on the wall. We did wish there was not ranting television and nasty howling style of music. We do wish there could be NO television and just some quiet Japanese music. Then it would be perfect. But if you do not mind the noise then this is the best value around.
