Best chinese restaurant in kits
Submitted Wednesday, November 15, 2006 - 7:31pm [Dine in]

I've been going there for many years now... the food is awesome, and the prices are very reasonable. One of the few places in kits that I can say this about. Ambiance can be described as something simular to a normal diner... nothing fancy, but clean. Their lunch and dinner menu's cater well to the persons dinning alone. Lunch specials are around $7, and I usually can't finish it all. Dinner specials around around $10, and the same goes for the quantity. Quality is excellent, and I have never had an issue with service. Pickup and deliver are also available. About the only negative thing I can say about this place is that they don't normally serve my favorite dish... beef & tomatoe chowmein. Even at that, I have been able to make a special request for it, and have gotten it. Not always the case because they don't normally have tomatoes.

I would highly recommend for anyone who loves good inexpensive chinese food, to go to this place. Great for dining alone, or for groups. I've taken my family their many times, and they keep wanting to go back everytime we go out.

Not as good as it use to be

I've been going to this restaurant for years, back in the day's when John Claude still owned and operated it. It was one of my favorite places to go to, but since his passing, and the restaurant being taken over by new owners, I've found that this establishment no longer upholds the high standards it once had with food quality, and service. My date and I went there recently and order a chicken dish... we returned it once because it was undercooked. It was dark outside, and hard to see when they gave us a new plate, so from what we could tell, it looked ok. We were both sick the next day. The server was rude, and left us without utensils half-way through our appy's. Drinks weren't made correly, and in complaining about it, we received a smug attitude. This is suppose to be a high-end restaurant, and you expect above average when it comes to food and service... especially at those prices. Also, they changed the menu, and in my opinion, is not as good as it once was. Only good thing is that they kept the pepper steak, which is still decent. Regardless, I won't be going back.
