Great Value
Submitted Monday, August 18, 2008 - 3:54pm [Dine in]

Went here for dinner and was surprised by the value for what you pay. The portions are very generous and tasty. They serve both Chinese dishes like noodles and also offer English influenced dishes like pastas and steaks with an Asian twist. Most food comes in a combo where for under $10 you can get a sizable plate of food and a drink. For $7.95 you can choose 2 items meat or fish and have it on a plate of rich or spaghetti with vegetables. Great Value.

Great Place for a Quick Lunch
Submitted Monday, June 23, 2008 - 12:48pm [Dine in]

They offer take out sushi that is reasonably priced. The earlier you go the fresher the sushi tends to be. Items tend to sell out quickly as well as the lunch crowd buys up all the items. Very reasonably priced take out sushi and great for a quick meal.

They also have a Japanese grocery shop in store selling unique Japanese items that can be a treat.

Good Food Poor Service
Submitted Monday, June 23, 2008 - 12:45pm [Dine in]

This is one of the better Jap restaurants in Richmond and we often visit this place for lunch. They have a good value lunch special for around $9 you get a fair amount of fresh food. The service is not great though as it is often slow and I have seen many customers complain about the servers and their inability to get the order right.

Worth a try, great if you get good service

Fresh Sushi in Richmond
Submitted Monday, June 23, 2008 - 12:43pm [Dine in]

This is one of the few authentic sushi places in Richmond. It is actually run by Japanese and offer a nice selection of fresh fish and food items. They tend to be pricey but you are paying for the quality of authentic homemade Japanese food.

The lunch specials are reasonable but they often get very busy as it is not a big place.

Average Pho
Submitted Monday, June 23, 2008 - 12:39pm [Dine in]

This used to be my favorite Pho in Richmond but now is just average Pho place. The Sizes of the soup have been made smaller but are still a decent value considering the price. They are often busy and part of a complex with numerous other businesses. Parking here can be a major pain, if they are busy.

Good Food If you don't mind the owner
Submitted Monday, June 23, 2008 - 12:35pm [Dine in]

Good Value fast food in Lansdowne mall, if you can stand the owner who some people love personally I wish he would just serve the food and not talk so much. He is a very hyper man who loves to talk, and make comments about everything and anything. The combos are a great deal and are very reasonable for the amount of food you receive. I have seen him change his prices based on who the customers is so be aware.

Great Seafood on Vic Harbour
Submitted Monday, June 23, 2008 - 12:29pm [Dine in]

Visiting from Vancouver we were looking for place similar to Go Fish to get fish and chips for a quick lunch. Red Fish Blue Fish surprised and was a great treat. The food was prepared fresh and came out hot and tasty. The Chowder was great with large chunks of fresh fish. The Fish and chips were perfect and not covered in oil as some fish and chips tend to be. Very good value as you get a large piece of fish with your order. I highly recommend visitors to Victoria check this place out.

Average Dining Experience
Submitted Monday, June 23, 2008 - 12:25pm [Dine in]

Went to Zambri's after reading the reviews online. We went on a Friday night and this is a small place and since we were visiting we decided to wait for a table. It was an hour wait for 4 of us.

The food was classic homemade Italian. The menu changes daily and we really enjoyed the pasta dishes which were very tasty and worth the wait. We were disappointed as they ran out of 2 menu items their calamari and Duck both of which we wanted to order. The Lamb we ordered was very fatty and the beef was average. I would recommend going for the pasta but not waiting as long as we did. An overall average dining experience.

Cheap Eats for Malaysian
Submitted Sunday, January 6, 2008 - 9:19pm [Dine in]

This is the best deal hands down for Chicken Rice in the city. Although the chicken in not de-boned like in other restaurants you can get a whole chicken and tons of rice for $20. Enough to feed a family, a very hungry family.

They also offer some tasty noodles and other Malaysian dishes, not the cleanest restaurant but the food is great.

Great Shanghai Food
Submitted Sunday, January 6, 2008 - 9:15pm [Dine in]

Reasonably priced and very tasty food. The shanghai dumplings were very tasty and filled with juice when you bit into them. Everything came out fresh and fairly quick considering the restaurant was packed, will definitely return.

Great View Average Food
Submitted Sunday, January 6, 2008 - 9:12pm [Dine in]

I was expecting more from Horizons considering the price of food there. The view is great on a clear night and you can see the skyline of the entire city as you dine if you have a view of the windows from your table.
I found my Filet Mignon medium rare came out medium and overcooked for my liking and the salmon was very tasty but also overcooked and came out a little dry. The cheesecake and chocolate Moose cake for dessert were great though. I think the food here is a bit overpriced for what you get but overall a pretty good dining experience.

Nice sushi joint in Steveston
Submitted Thursday, January 3, 2008 - 11:28am [Dine in]

Tried this place for the first time and will definetely be going back. The sushi was fresh and the food was very tasty. Had the Inchiro don which was a combination of Unagi, Terriyaki Chicken and Prawn tempura on rice, very tasty. A little more pricey but the food is fresh and tasty and they offer a huge menu of items to choose from.

Tried this place for the first time since they reopened. It was not bad. The sushi I found a little expensive for what you get back compared to the all you can eats in Richmond the quality was not bad. Large menu with lots of choices, not a bad option for sushi in Richmond

Went for lunch here and found this to be a great spot in the centre of Richmond for Korean food. They have some well priced lunch specials and the service was great. Will definitely be returning to try some more items from their menu.

Nice Pub in Richmond
Submitted Saturday, November 24, 2007 - 5:09pm [Dine in]

Went here for a company function of 20 and despite the fact they do not take reservations they were able to cater to our needs on a Friday night. The food was not bad a little pricey for what you get but solid pub food. The pub itself was surprisingly really nice inside and we found a nice area to sit and watch the hockey while sipping a selection of their in house brewed beers.

Lousy Service Average Food
Submitted Saturday, November 24, 2007 - 5:06pm [Dine in]

Based on the coverage of this chain in the Local papers. I decided to try it and was disappointed. The Richmond location offered below average service as it took forever for the waitress to take our order, she was always running off doing other tasks while we waited to be served. The table behind me asked for their bill numerous times and when they finally got it they left no tip and stormed out of the restaurant very unsatisfied.

The food was average, nothing legendary here. The soup noodles we found very salty and tasted like instant noodle seasoning packages had been dumped into the bowl. Hopefully the other locations are more impressive and live up the legendary name, this one clearly does not.

Great Little Sushi Place
Submitted Wednesday, August 15, 2007 - 12:40pm [Dine in]

This is a great little sushi place that surprised me. Their food I found to be fresh and tasty and the different kind of rolls they have are a great change from the traditional sushi place. The Salifornia roll was my favorite california roll covered in cooked salmon and deep fried to perfection.
Will be back next time I am in the area.

Submitted Wednesday, August 15, 2007 - 12:37pm [Dine in]

Tried this Korean place for the first time and I found it overrated. The food is good and you have the option of all u can eat or regualr menu. But the service is horrible, our tea was empty for most of the evening as they ignored us until we asked for the bill where they were quick to deliver. The food is good though but a bit pricey for what you get, don't think I will be going back.

Great Pho and Spring rolls
Submitted Friday, June 15, 2007 - 1:01pm [Dine in]

This is my favorite Pho place in the lower mainland. The Pho soup here is clear and not cloudy like other Pho places. Don't come here expecting the best service but the food is specatacular for Pho and I always go bad. The Spring rolls are very yummy and bigger than other Pho places, as well as cheaper.

Definetely recommend this place to true Pho lovers.
