Steak and Lobster
Submitted Sunday, September 13, 2009 - 2:58am [Dine in]

Went to Coza for the first time and ordered the steak and lobster. So tasty and decent value. The bar sure mixes some great signature drinks too!

The service was friendly and efficient even though we were a large party.

The ambiance is warm and inviting. The decor is tastefull and the seating comfortable. One of the managers even dropped by to check on our dinner, which was a nice touch.

Will go back!

Great Burgers
Submitted Sunday, September 13, 2009 - 2:47am [Dine in]

This is not a full service joint, so if thats what you are looking for, you will be disappointed.

If you are looking for great burgers and great food, then this is a great place to try out! Its not cheap, but the value for the dollar is great. The burgers are made to order fresh, so it takes a few minutes, the wait is worht it once you sink your teeth into these "homestyle" burgers. There are numerous fresh/homemade toppings you can dress your burger with, from the standards to the exotics.

The fries are also great!

Check it out next time you're in Whistler.

Great Family Restaurant
Submitted Sunday, September 13, 2009 - 2:42am [Dine in]

When visiting Whistler, my spouse and I visited OSF.
Compared to most restaurants we ate at during our 4 days in Whistler, this was the best value. The food was pretty good and the value was incomparable.

We had the spaghetti with spicy meat sauce and the seafood fettuccini. Salad/Soup, coffee, dessert and bread were all complimentary. You won't leave hungry.

We had a way better experience here than the awfull experience we had at OSF in Langley. i'd definitely go back for an economical meal.

Our server was fantastic. We were travelling with our infant and our server was very friendly and patient with us.

Great location...rest not so great

We didn't have huge expectations when we chose to eat here. We were simply looking for a quick bite on their nicely situated patio.

We looked over the menu and decided on a couple burgers. After waiting for a good 5 minutes to be greeted by our server, we tried to make eye contact with a server in our section. She was super friendly and came over to take our order. Thats when things got weird, another server who was nowhere to be seen a few minutes earlier came out to the patio and debated with the server who actually greeted us as to who would be serving us for lunch. Their conversation was cordial, but the fact that they debated this in front of us was troubling. The friendly server who actually greeted us ended up serving us and the service was decent.

The food was tasty, but like most things in Whistler, the value was lacking.

Love Korean BBQ - Hated Koreana
Submitted Thursday, July 2, 2009 - 12:39pm [Dine in]

Nice setting and view for a restaurant, but everything else was very disappointing.

The Beef short ribs were very poor quality, especially for the price. The Special Prawn deepfried and served in sweet and spicy sauce were very expensive and very mediocre at best.

As disappointing as the food was, the service was probably the worst i've ever experienced in a restaurant. One server running around and serving aproximately 10 tabls, once our order was taken and food delivered, we couldn't even wave down our server for the remainder of the meal, which meant no refill of drinks or side dishes, even though we desired more.

Will not return.

Keg Steakhouse & Bar, The9020 202 Street, Langley
Great value at $90.00 for 2
Submitted Thursday, July 2, 2009 - 12:25pm [Dine in]

Its not too often that i go out for a dinner for 2 and pay $90.00 and consider it a great value, but thats what we got last night when we went to the Keg.

I ordered the keg sized Fillet Mignon and my wife ordered the special Seafood Sirloin. As good as the Fillet was (king of steaks), my wife shared a piece of her Seafood Sirloin and it was one of the best steaks I've ever tasted. In a Buerre Blanc sauce with lobster, shrimp and asparagus, the flavour was amazing.

Atmosphere was top notch (nice but not stuffy) and the appetizer, drink and entrees were well worth $90.00.

Will be back soon!

Peking Duck!
Submitted Sunday, April 12, 2009 - 2:45pm [Dine in]

4 of us went on a busy Saturday night for a family meal. We ordered the Peking Duck (3 stages) and it was fantastic! The first stage was the duck skin and crepes and this was the best part! Very tasty!

We also ordered the cantonese chow mein, and gai lan which were very nice as well.

only 3 dishes, but way too much food for us to finish. The Peking Duck alone would have satisfied us!

Total bill was $70.00 ($40.00 of which was the Peking Duck). A good value considering the quality and amount of food.

Service was friendly and attentive. Our server replaced fresh plates as needed during our meal.

Awful Experience
Submitted Tuesday, February 24, 2009 - 9:33pm [Dine in]

Went there for lunch with a friend who was on her lunch break from work. We were seated in a timely manner, but from there it all went downhill!!! The drink order took forever and the food took even longer. In a hurry to get back to work (within an hour) we assumed a quick pizza lunch would be a good choice...not at this location.

The restaurant was mostly empty (not a busy lunch) but only appeared to be one server on and she was nowhere to be found.

When the food finally came, the pizza was soggy and wasn't hot!

Awful food, awful service...I'll never return.

Horrible
Submitted Saturday, July 26, 2008 - 10:39pm [Dine in]

I know not to expect too much when I go to a Boston Pizza, but from time to time I am drawn back in because I really do enjoy the Cactus cut potatoes and some of their pizza's are quite good.

Well, I wouls strongly suggest NEVER going to this location in Cloverdale! The food was not up to standards (and it is all pre-prepared foods at BP), but it was the horrible service and management that really turned my stomach.

The hostess was snobby once she finally made her way to greet us, and the server was flat out rude. A Manager (owner?) came by to check on our table and we told him how disappointed we were with the food and service, and all he did was offer a poor excuse and nothing more was done.

We will never go back to this restaurant.

Ninja Sushi Japanese Restaurant19475 Fraser Highway, Surrey
Some great dishes
Submitted Saturday, July 26, 2008 - 10:24pm [Dine in]

Its a fun and diverse menu, but if you're looking for GREAT sushi, you've come to the wrong place. The only real sushi/maki offering that stands out for me is the spicy tuna roll. I can't think of a better spicy tuna roll.

Ninja does have the BEST deep fried Japanese dishes I've ever had though!

If you like tempura, agedashi tofu, chicken karaage or similar dishes, you won't be disappointed here!

The service staff is friendlyand competent, but you won't be wow'd by the service.

Impressive
Submitted Saturday, July 26, 2008 - 10:16pm [Dine in]

This is a Chinese restaurant unlike any I've been to in the Valley.

Great decor, great service, great value and most importantly - great food.

We particularly enjoy the Dim Sum (best this side of Richmond). Some highlights for me are sticky rice, shrimp dumplings and the peppery short ribs! They also have a fine (and tasty) selection of fresh seafood.

If you want "authentic" chinese food, this is a great destination for you. Surpriisingly, if you want "western style" chinese food, they do a great job in this regard as well.

Not sure what to order? Ask for their suggestions...they are very helpful and the food they suggested really hit the spot!

Quite poor
Submitted Saturday, July 26, 2008 - 10:10pm [Dine in]

I understand that this is a "pub", but there is nobody at the door to greet you, and you are forced to wander through the entire retaurant looking for a place to sit, only to find that either every table is full, or is covered with the remains of the previous guests food.

We made it all the way to the depths of the pub and back before we were offerred a seat at the bar. We were hungry so we decided to stay at the bar. The menu is very interesting, but we soon found out it was very much overpriced for what we received. For the price we paid, the portion sizes were small and the food very average.

It's a neat environment to eat in, but hte service and value were seriously lacking (two things you'd expect to find at a pub).

As we were leaving a young family was coming in and they were told that children are not allowed in the pub. That's fine, I write that only to forewarn any young parents from attempting to take your children there.

All over the place!
Submitted Tuesday, July 22, 2008 - 10:50pm [Dine in]

This is a place my friends and I always enjoy eating at. Strangley enough, the great tasting food and incomparable valus make up for the lack of service and ambiance.

Unlike some of the other reviews, I don't find the service rude or obnoxious, it's just not good service. The ambiance is that of a 80's diner.

The food taste and value make up for it in my books. Best Spring rolls anywhere and the rest is always consistent and tasty.

Great food at a great price is all a hungry guy can ask for.

Awful Experience!
Submitted Tuesday, July 22, 2008 - 10:45pm [Dine in]

Very poorly run establishment. We waited way too long to be sat while open tables remained open for all to see. Once sat, the experinece went downhill. We didn't receive our menu's as we were being sat and waited literally 5 minutes before sombody came by and we had to flag them down to ask to see the menu!

The menu looked appetizing, but the food was attrocious! Everything was disgustingly salty. I was eating with 3 friends and each of our diffrent menu items were too salty to eat.

If all you are looking for is a cheap meal in a tacky environment, this might be the place for you, but do not expect to enjoy the food or the service!

Staff were unappologetic and we left dissapointed. Will not go back.
