Came here one night to try something new. My husband was convinced that we should go after reading some reviews. I ordered their standard cheesecake with strawberry syrup and a glass of warm milk with nutmeg and amaretto. My husband had the special: chocolate cheesecake with peanut butter sauce. The portions are a bit small, but everything is homemade and the milk was wonderful. The ambiance reminded me of a Paris cafe. An older gentleman started playing the piano and singing which made the whole experience a real treat. Overall, it was a great little restaurant.

Went to Boonie's on a Friday night lookin' for some good BBQ and it was simply wonderful. My husband and I have been looking for a great BBQ house and this has to be it. The food was fantastic! The ribs were cooked perfectly and they had a slight smokey sweetness to them. The southern mac and cheese was warm and cheesy and their collard greens were tangy and sweet. The pulled pork sandwiches were juicy and the crunch from the toasted bun and cabbage gave it an extra punch.
The service was great too. The gentleman behind the counter with the white beard was very friendly. It's a shame that the place they're in at the moment is small (appox 7-8 tables) because they could probably fill a restaurant with 2 or 3 times more tables. Boonie's knows what he's doing with BBQ. We drove all the way from Kits to try their food and we're going back!
