Empress Room721 Government St, Victoria
Fit For A Queen!
Submitted Tuesday, May 9, 2006 - 9:37pm [Dine in]

The Empress is so much fun! The outside to in inside tea room reminds me of how beautiful it must have been in the olden days to have tea in this room. Everything has been restored in this room and it's so much fun to go with my mom and share a girl's brunch/ morning tea experience with her. I think that if you are in Victoria you should go try the tea experience at the Empress.

Feenie's!
Submitted Tuesday, May 9, 2006 - 9:24pm [Dine in]

Feenie's is a good cheap eat. The food is good but not great. It is nothing special, except their french fries are pretty good. It's like every other diner, you can get a burger and fries. The other thing that makes this place different is that it's fun because it's a upbeat place with lots of young hot people. The service is pretty good and the interior design makes is neat because you can watch people on Broadway and yet it can be cozy and nice for a couple or a group.

Not Truly French!
Submitted Tuesday, May 9, 2006 - 9:11pm [Dine in]

I don't understand how this can be classified as a french restaurant. The awards it wins says it's french but is not really french. The food has some french aspects but should not be called a french restaurant. Lumiere is a great restraunt with a great vibe but with the prices is it really worth is to eat here. NOT REALLY! It's really the experience of seeing what this place is all about. With Rob Feenie as the Chef is good to see what he's done with the business but it's a place I recommend to go to once but I personally would not go here again because of the price and I prefer to go to a True french restaurant. The service here is good but it's just so fake with all the young hot waitresses and waiters. The environment is hip but feenie's is more fun with the younger crowd.

Dining With A View!
Submitted Tuesday, May 9, 2006 - 9:02pm [Dine in]

The Five Sails Restaurant is a very special place because of the view and how the restaurant is so secluded. I love how you can go for dinner and eat in peace but eat food that is amazing in a place with such good service but what is really impressive is the view. I enjoyed getting to look out at Stanley Park and the Ocean Port. This is a place that you would go if you want to be away from people of to bring tourists because it shows Vancouver so well.

Excellent!

Eating at Pastis was a wonderful experince. The food is amazing and each dish has an original flavor which is unique. The mood in the bistro is very nice, because the feeling of the room is comforting and the service is great.
