INteresting place with a strange take on japanese classics and some of the tastiest okonomiyaki in the city. The servers are a bit wacky but the sure throw the hustle into their step and never act like you owe them a tip like some of the restaurants in this city.
The beef karubi is delicious, their squid karaage and even their sushi is very very good. This place is run by the original, Japanese owner of the Eatery on broadway so it's pretty damn delicious(which is one place to avoid at all costs)

Wow who would have thought that a place that used to cater to prostitutes and their johns would re-establish itself with new owners and become a delicious haven of creativity and visual delights?
Friendly staff, interesting food, the sushi rolls were an eclectic mix of fresh seafood with fruit which was wonderful to witness.
The servers were very observant and caring which is pretty standard at any izakau=ya these days i think.
the price was a bit higher than what i thought it might be but it is donwtown and it is a whole new experience worth coming back for.
