We came out to go to Earls on broadway for my friend's birthday and of couse, they were packed. i don't think the hostest even said hi, she just looked at us and gave a"...sorry...there's no way your getting in here" look. So we came out and across we saw this Thai restaurant. We love thai and we thought why not. Luckily we got to the restaurant before they got packed, so we only waited about 5 minutes for our table.
The place was really cool and modern with nice music. its a nice escape from the traditional ethnic restaurants.Very serene and sleek. A cool place to enjoy a meal. The waiters knew the menu inside out. I was surprised that the server spoke Thai even though he was caucasian.
I had the best lychee martini ever, there was even a fresh lychee in the bottom. My girlfriends ordered the bottle of Viognier that matched perfectly with our amazing mains.
Now on to the best part of the night. The food was mouth watering and unforgettable. We already thinking about what we were going to order the next time we come. The server sold us on their fresh lobster with green curry, and their staff favorite, crispy duck with tamarind sauce . The flavours were amazing. the lobster was fresh and the curry was as if i was back in Thailand. A little hot for my taste, but delicious. The crispy duck was so tender and the tamarind sauce is to die for. i had to order an extra side of sauce with my rice.
And to end this most amazing night, already so full. The manager brought a dessert platter for my firends birthday! The must have is the apple fritter with vanilla creme. The sticky rice with cocunut milk was still warm when it got to the table that it melted in my mouth.
We surely will come back, we can't believe we never heard of this place! its a hidden gem, at least for now. Hands down my favorite Thai restaurant.

i celebrated my birthday here and it was my 5th time. i really love the flavours. my favorite dish would be the lobster in the shrimp paste sauce. yummmmmmyyy! i can probably eat the 3lbs lobster myself its so good! although, the decor is not too much to impress, tropical yet too 90's. service is one thing i think they need to work on. i feel like they were hurrying us to go for the next customers. it was hard for us to enjoy when it feels like they kept rushing us out.
and it'll be nicer if they smiled more! but i'll be back for that lobster. i'll just order take out next time maybe.
