I went in for some afterwork beers.

I didn't get to eat the Calamari we ordered. My friend had one bite, spat it into a napkin and threw it into the plate and warned not to eat it. Never seen that happen before. And I'm no stranger to chilled-raw squid. The fries were.................. cute.

The girl working there.... gorgeous. I really wasn't paying attention to whether she was doing her job well or not. :P

The place was nothing particular. Clean cut and modern.

The ramen may be the best in the city... but far from what i had in Japan. It's all we got...

Hanpayaro is seriously the best $1 you can spend! I should order 20 of them to go~ Other than that... I didn't get caught with the extra additions to my ramen.

The service and ambiance doesn't really count because of the nature of the business. IT's more of a volume, eat-and-get-out type of thing. honestly they would have done just as well serving out of a cart on the street.

I like coming in here for drinks.

I go to Granville island quite often. So I don't really crave their overly marked up food. However, I love the concept food and wine pairing. But I think I would rather try some winebites at Cassis.

Service was great. The girl even went out of her way to give us a tour of the basement.

The spot is amazing for 1on1 drinks on weekday nights.

I only came in for Singhas and Nibles. But definately would come back! Amazing how the best spots in Vancouver are the smallest, hardest to find ones.

The food was really close to authentic. I really enjoyed their beef salad and papaya salad.

The owners are the sweetest couple. I love Thai people.

I love kobe steak. They had a great one for $16. And it was done just right for me... however, i'm not sure if i like my steaks cut into small pieces for me... but it was great nevertheless.

The drinks were the fun part. I just ordered around of cocktails, and told them to bring me a couple of specials. they really came through with the series of multi-colored cocktails mixed with my favourite japanese drinks, from when i visited tokyo. Only thing missing was cc lemon.

I think the drinks, hot towels, and cheery japanese was enough to earn them a good service rating.

I went to Cassis for some drinks because I loved the ambiance. However, to my surprise, they renovated the interior and changed the food menu.

They sat us at what they called "the chef's table". It was a charming antique table and chair set... but what's best part was the head chef, Ben, came to chat with us.

Ben convinced us to try the ribs and pork shoulders. They were absolutely amazing. The ribs were very tender and juicy, and full of flavour, without the heaviness of Memphis Blues. And the pork shoulders were surprisingly full flavoured, considering it wasn't sauced up.

I also had an amazing cocktail. (forgot the name) it was a dynamic martini version of a bloody mary. It had layers of flavours, from refreshing to spicy.

The service was good. They weren't too busy, so i got a lot of attention.

I would definately come back. They apparently have live music too.
