Brown's Social House is a nicer alternative to Earls, Cactus Club, Milestones, and Moxie's. They're all in a similar category of dinning but in my opinion, Brown's cuisine is a little more cultured than your average west coast style. I must recommend the dragon bowl to everyone. It's a must try dish that is full of flavor. The chicken curry and rice soup is also a nice appy to start with, very tasty indeed. I've been here with friends and family repetitive times now, since Earls and all the other restaurants have gotten boring for my taste. The service is also fairly decent for this restaurant and its young and lively ambiance is also great for the social type of crowd. I would recommend this restaurant if you haven't tried it before. It's definitely worth a visit!

We got there on a Thursday night and it was packed. We had to wait for about 15 mins, but unlike other restaurants, they have a fairly large waiting area where you can sit and zip on a couple of drinks before getting your table. I thought that was nice. We got to our table and ordered some appies before the main course. I must say, the mushroom bruschetta was a delight. I definitely recommend it. Then we got a zesty Salmon dish with grilled veggies and a pasta dish that included pesto, goat cheese, and a wonderful sundried tomato paste. To finish it off, we ordered these dessert balls with dark chocolate filling inside, dipped in a wonderful creamy sauce. Very nice indeed. My girlfriend and I were very satisfied with the food, the service and our attentive waitress. Price was fair and average, but yes it was well worth the experience. I'd definitely recommend this place to friends and would also visit this place again in the near future.
