Yuck!
Submitted Wednesday, February 25, 2009 - 6:29pm [Dine in]

Came here in the afternoon to eat with my girlfriend and then we went to watch a movie.

Service: Not the best, felt rushed in ordering and felt rushed in getting us out of the restaurant.

Food: Horrible... just check out the VCH website...

Had the runs after eating here and then got sick..

Will not be back for sure!

Worth a try

Went to this place last year, I am trying to get caught up with my reviews. I went to this place with my significant other last year for breakfast.

Food: The food was pretty plain, nothing very special. Just a waffle with toppings or granola oats with yogurt and fruits. Nothing here you can't do at home if one isn't lazy to do it.

Service: Pretty good service I would say, but yet again have to place order at cashier and they bring it to you. Is this how eastern culture is? I need to check this out. Been to another eastern culture restaurant and one has to place order at the cashier and they bring it to you. Hmm....,

Ambiance: Everything inside is new, and it looked more like a design for lounging at night more than breakfast to me that is. Maybe my taste is more on the conservative side.

Overall: I have tried, and I wouldn't go back.

Went there for breakfast with parents. I wanted them to try a new breakfast place, as for me I have tried a few breakfast place and here is my two cents.

Atmosphere: isn't that great. Very packed in there, the table arrangements isn't that great. Hard to get in and out. But it is understandable of the floor plan of the cafe. Maybe they can take away one or two tables out. I went in the cold temperatures, it was pretty hot in there and stuffy. I don't think I will try this place in the summer, if it gets this hot in the mild spring, it must be boiling in the summer time.

Service: I don't know if you can call it service or not, all they do is bring the food to the table and that was it. One has to place the order first and then sit down. Don't know whether to tip or not for this but I did tip in the end. Should one even tip here?

Food: The only thing that I can praise about is the food. The food is pretty good for the pricing. Good portions, that is for me. For bigger appetites then maybe not big enough portions. Many varieties of food items. The only thing that I can say is that they don't have condiments, which is rare, but I guess they want one to taste the natural flavours? I am guessing, but seriously some ketchup would be nice with the eggs.

Overall, I would go back, but I would only go back in the cold months for breakfast that is. I wouldn't go back anytime soon as there are many other places to have breakfast and try. I would suggest those whom love breakfast, if you haven't given this place a try. You only live once.

Creme Brulee simply the best in Vancouver!
Submitted Thursday, April 10, 2008 - 8:12pm [Dine in]

Maybe they had an off day or something, but the mussels that was ordered was way over cooked. Other than that, the main courses was good. The creme brulee is still the best in Vancouver!

This place is another favourite of mine. I'd still suggest this place for others to go to for a romantic dining experience.

Decent

Just like the title states, decent. This place is decend, it isn't bad, but just didn't wow me to come back again. For the price they charge and the food that is offered. I rather go to IHOP or some other breakfast, egg, bacon serving restaurants. I tried and most likely I won't come back. Just to far from where I live, so no second chance here.

Just okay place.

Great!

This place is great! Great service I would say! Was here a few months ago. The food here is great, service is even better. I love their desserts. Ambiance was quite nice, dimmed lights, soft music in the background. Service was excellent, oh I said that already. It is a great place to take your loved one on her birthday or a special occasion. It is well worth the money. In fact, I didn't think it was that expensive at all for the food and the service that was given.

Highly recommended!!

Dessert isn't that great!
Submitted Tuesday, December 18, 2007 - 1:04am [Dine in]

The food here isn't that bad. I would go back for the food, but not for the dessert. I love the ambiance. Okay, back to the dessert. I love creme brulee, so I ordered one. Presentation was nice. The creme brulee wasn't to my satifaction. It was very runny. I'd come back for the food here, but wouldn't order dessert here at all.
