Tasty food - rip off portions
Submitted Monday, July 18, 2011 - 12:52pm [Take-out]

This location recently opened up close to home and we haven't eaten there so my wife and I thought we would try it out. This was a Sunday night around 6pm, I thought I would pick up a couple pizzas to go as it was their daily special (a few bucks off). Since I haven't tried the pizzas before I was shocked when I got home and opened up the boxes. Each pizza's barely covered a quarter of the box. They were thin crust and a single pizza wasn't nearly enough for a single person, it was barely enough as an appetizer! Regular price is $13.45 but on Sundays it's $9 bucks. What a joke. I'm not a big eater but, the fact that I wasn't full after eating a "whole" pizza was truly disappointing. Having said that, the pizzas are tasty, however there is absolutely no value and I found it to be a rip-off. To be fair, the location does have a nice ambiance and the sights are not bad, so if you're into a nice ambiance with the regular corporate chain waitresses (think Earls and Cactus Club) this is the place for you, just don't expect to get full off their food!

Terrible service not worth the decent pizza.

The pizza here is decent. A variety of types and the price is reasonable. This is a new location and when they were new (and business was slower) the service was as expected for a takeout pizza joint. However now they've been open for awhile and the service has gone downhill fast. It takes over 30 minutes to get a pizza. And the last two times they have screwed up my order. Then when I got home and saw that they gave me the wrong pizzas, they yelled at me and told me I was lying! All I wanted was to explain to them that the messed up the order and I just wanted what I ordered and paid for. I was even willing to go pick it up. When I talked to the girl she admitted that she made the pizza spicy even though I said no spice. But when the manager came on, I explanined the situation and she picked up the other line and started yelling (yes yelling) that she never admitted to saying that she made a mistake. Yelling at customer's is not good service. It wouldn't be a huge deal, but this happened the last two times, I've ordered from there. (I assumed the first time they messed up the order, it was a fluke) It's sad when my 2 year old has to eat a peanut butter sandwich because the pizza was too spicy for him. Don't take a chance with the terrible service.

going downhill - but I still hope it recovers
Submitted Sunday, January 10, 2010 - 9:39pm [Dine in]

I used to come here once a month, but haven't had a chance in the 3 months, so we decided to go back. We had the enchiladas and burritos. The food taste wise is good, however since a new owner came in a few months back the portions have shrunk quite a bit. We were disappointed that the rice, salad took up most of the plate and the main course took up less than a quarter of the plate. The staff have always been nice and continue to keep the service respectable, even though there only appeared to be one server. This place could use a little sprucing up and renovation. It's a bit dark and starting to get dingy. I noticed the bar had a few tile missing and the bar has seen better days. Also the decorations could use some work. We went at 8pm on Sunday and there was only other table occupied. With a little renovation and an increase in serving size (or slight drop in price) this could be one busy place. I hope the new owner takes this advice into consideration.

Good Thai food
Submitted Friday, January 8, 2010 - 6:26pm [Dine in]

I've dined here on a number of occassions. The service and ambiance is good. The only thing I would say is the food is generally quite good except a couple of times we got take out when the restaurant was packed. The food quality seemed to drop somewhat. However overall the food is good and authentic. The dinner servings and prices are slightly higher than Thai House. But you have to be willing to pay a little premium for good Thai food if you don't want to leave Surrey.
